Following last years “Shooting Stars” Pack which featured the Foamposite One and Lil Penny Posite, Nike again pays homage to Penny Hardway with another Penny Pack for 2015. This time around, the Nike Foamposite One “Sharpie” and the new Nike Air Penny 6 encapsulates this seemingly annual release.

The “Sharpie” theme, of course, was inspired by Penny himself when he was fined by the NBA for wearing too much blue, and used a black sharpie to balance his look during an NBA Playoffs series against the Miami Heat. Hardaway scored 41 and 42 points in the sharpie-inspired foams, and those numbers mark the footbed of each shoe.

Its counterpart bears a very familiar Penny theme, donning “Orlando” tones throughout. This will mark the widely anticipated debut of the Penny 6 – thus the very fittingly colorway. This is also the second release of a Penny shoe post-retirement. Considering the success of the Penny 5, and the look of the 6, we can expect a similar response to this sixth edition as with its predecessor.
