Kanye West<\/strong> continues to discuss his fallout with Nike<\/strong> and the intimate details of his departure. While widely known that West parted ways with the brand due to creative restrictions and lack of royalties, up until now no one knew exactly what Nike offered West to stay, if anything at all.<\/p>\n In a lecture today at SAIC – where Kanye received an honorary doctorate degree – he let the cat out of the bag claiming Nike extended him $4 million per year to remain with the brand. By any measure, this is a big number. In fact, its much more than many Nike endorsed athletes actually pull in.
