With Mother’s Day commencing tomorrow, one would assume that your respective bank account is pretty barren considering you spent hoards of money on the lady that brought you into this world. However, despite celebrating the number one lady in your life, we still gathered our latest selections from the NK brethren as we present another edition of Snkrs Day Staff Picks.

Headlined by a bevy of intriguing silhouettes, the NK staff selected from the best of the best. To see for yourself, flip through the pages below and let us know who had the best choices of the week.

Nike Air Max2 CB 94 White/Black-Old Royal

“There’s not much I love more than playing basketball and back in high school there wasn’t a better indoor/outdoor retro to hoop in than the Nike Air Max2 CB 94. It’s crazy to think that it’s been about a decade since I bought this model, but I still have three pairs from back then. The OG “Cobalt” colorway has always been one of the best and it’s great that Nike is finally bringing it back. My hopes are that the heel Air Max2 unit feels as good as the old retros. If so, I’m gonna tear these up on the Austin asphalt this summer and make them my streetball shoe of choice, just like The Crossing Guard from the old tapes.”

Air Jordan 9 “Statue”

“I definitely like the concept behind this new colorway. Though I have yet to meet MJ, I was lucky enough to finally catch a Bulls game a few years ago and finally got to see the infamous statue outside the United Center. Still a huge MJ fan, I think these may be added to the collection for collective purposes only. Maybe just one wear lol but these are definitely dope. ” Air Jordan 1 “Pinnacle” Collection

“Oh so intriguing and spectacular. I need these in my life. ” Air Jordan XX “Cool Grey”

“I LOVE the Air Jordan XX. When the XX first dropped in 2005 I had a hard time tracking down my size on release day. Luckily, I ended up finding a pair at the Santa Monica Promenade. And as luck would have it, a few days later I was gifted a pair by my sister for my birthday.

I haven’t purchased a pair of XXs since their original release. This colorway may change that, though. I am a HUGE fan of black/white sneakers right now and the fact that it is on a shoe that I love makes it a must-have for me.” Nike Air Presto “Brutal Honey”

“The Presto is one of my all-time favorite shoes. Throughout college in the mid-2000s, I was buying up OG pairs on eBay for $30-$40 a pop, and somehow ended up with like 9 pairs in the rotation. I’d wear them every single time I went to the gym before switching into my hoop shoes. For around 6 years in a row, I was even buying a Presto every August for my mom’s birthday, because they too were her favorite shoe.

Needless to say, I’m real hyped that the original Brutal Honey, one of my favorite versions of the shoe, is on the way back. How the hell they’re $160 though, I’m gonna need someone to officially explain.”

With Mother’s Day commencing tomorrow, one would assume that your respective bank account is pretty barren considering you spent hoards…

[742
1209741

2":"type-post

Ian Stonebrook
