May the 4th might be the fourth month of the fifth month to many, to Star Wars faithful, May the 4th be with you<\/em>!<\/p>\n The unofficial Star Wars days has been celebrated many times by us over the years, but this year we wanted to highlight our absolute favorite Star Wars inspired and Star Wars licensed shoes from over the years. \u00a0Since we ran our first feature celebrating Star Wars Day in 2009, there have been a ton of great Star Wars shoes released in partnership with Lucas Films and Vans and adidas, but have a look through the best Star Wars shoes<\/strong> of all time.<\/p>\n Bun B x Greedy Genius Vader\n Released: 2008 The legendary Houston hip-hop OG, Bun B teamed up with underground brand Greedy Genius for their first ever collaboration. \u00a0The shoe was introduced with a trill version of the Emperors March theme in a YouTube video that has since disappeared from the web. \u00a0For those who remember the release, it put Greedy Genius on the map in a new way.<\/p>\n Bun B spoke with us about the collaboration.<\/p>\n “Black Patent was a must for me on this collaboration. \u00a0I was really into black patent at the time. \u00a0The shoe started getting designed and once we started looking at it, it was like, ‘If Darth Vader put these shoes on, these would go with his outfit. \u00a0It actually matches with the clothing and mask.’ \u00a0I wore this shoe with a suit and it was a perfect look. \u00a0I didn’t even think of Darth Vader when I was designing the shoe with the black and gun metal, but the name was such a perfect fit.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nike Dunk SB Low “Jedi”\n Released: 2005 Nike SB borrowed inspiration from Yoda’s get up and the color of his lightsaber for one of the greatest Star Wars inspired sneakers ever. \u00a0This shoe paved the way for many other Star Wars inspired kicks.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Adidas Skywalker\n Released: 2010 Adidas released the Adidas Skywalker originally in the 80s and was forced to change the name following its debut to the Adidas SW for retro releases. \u00a0With an official collaboration with Lucas Films and Star Wars, the two were able to get the Adidas Skywalker to release in Commander Luke’s X-Wing flight suit get up and the official name.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Vader”\n Released: 2008 This was one of Ronnie Fieg’s early works while a buyer and SMU designer at David Z. \u00a0The tri-color lace was ahead of its time and a clear indicator that Ronnie had a pulse on the market and where it was headed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Adidas Forum Mid “ATAT”\n Released: 2011 Ice-cold. \u00a0Star Wars and Adidas linked up for another round of great sneakers borrowing inspiration from the epic Battle of Hoth. \u00a0The Adidas Forum Mid gets dressed and decked like the Empire’s land assault vehicle of choice, the AT-AT.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nike Dunk High SB “Bobba Fett”\n Released: 2008 The infamous bounty hunter tasked with brining the top rebels to justice was the inspiration for this Nike Dunk High SB that released a decade ago.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Adidas Consortium Superstars\n Released: 2007 Two years removed from the huge 35th Anniversary release of the Adidas Superstar, Adidas Consortium used two Superstars to create a double pair set that was not only out of this world, but from a galaxy far, far away. \u00a0Each shoe represented different sides of the Force. \u00a0The dark\u00a0pair drawing resemblance to Darth and the light pair drawing resemblance from Yoda. \u00a0The lace tips of each shoe corresponded to the light sabers of both Jedi Knights.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Star Wars x Vans Vault Half Cab\n Released: 2014 Vans had a huge line of licensed Star Wars sneakers release in 2014, but two of the most limited came from the Vault set that dropped at just 5 stores worldwide. \u00a0Vans Vault cooked up two half cabs for the two of the most famous Jedi Knights – Yoda and Vader. \u00a0The color inspiration and material choices set the shoes off as some of the best Vans Half Cabs to ever release whether you were a fan of Lucas’s work or not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" May the 4th might be the fourth month of the fifth month to many, to Star Wars faithful, May the…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":149,"featured_media":444881,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[618],"tags":[1728],"cultivate_rss":[],"class_list":{"2":"type-post"},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
