So with that in mind, after the video below, flip through the pages as we explore this history of the <strong>Nike Air Flightposite<\/strong> in the latest edition of Snkrs Day #TBT.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5qXvDyJ8v0E\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Da Kid<\/h2>\n<p>Before becoming the NBA icon he is today, Kevin Garnett was just an incredibly lanky forward from South Carolina with worlds of potential, looking to showcase his talents on the main stage. As mentioned previously, Garnett grew up in Mauldin, South Carolina but eventually found his way to the Windy City as he attended Farragut Academy and teamed up with Chi-town legend Ronnie Fields. Thoroughly dominating his competition, Garnett would eventually declare for the 1995 NBA draft in which he would be selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 5th pick in the draft.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3sQn4A8sCvM?rel=0\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Star Status<\/h2>\n<p>Prior to entering the NBA, plenty of basketball enthusiasts understood the potential that the lanky Kevin Garnett possessed. However, as indicated within the 1995 NBA Draft, his potential wasn&#8217;t viewed as a surefire hit. Well, to those four teams that passed on Garnett, they would ultimately pay the price as the forward would quickly assert himself as an elite talent within the NBA. Averaging a double-double during his fourth season in the league, Garnett would do all of this while sporting a variety of intriguing models such as the Air Jordan 11, Nike Air Way Up and the Nike Air Max Up Tempo, just to name a few.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Nike&#8217;s Leading Man<\/h2>\n<p>With a signature deal on the way, Nike looked to make Kevin Garnett the leading face of Nike Basketball as he helped market some of the latest and greatest in Nike footwear, such as unveiling the Nike Air Flightposite and various other models.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4T6va1ZQBwk?rel=0\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Nike Air Flightposite<\/h2>\n<p>The Nike Air Flightposite was one of the most innovative models created by Nike during the 1990s. Looking to create a more streamlined model, Nike and designer Eric Avar ditched conventional laces for a full-length zipper in order to create a more holistic look. Utilizing several type of sports cars as a muse, the Nike Air Flightposite elicits a foam and Flightposite upper for added performance functionality.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Legacy of the Nike Air Flightposite<\/h2>\n<p>The legacy of the Nike Air Flighposite remains well entrenched within Nike Basketball lore due its prominence within two different decades. With a variety of notable colorways hitting retail shelves in recent years as well as notable players rocking this model on a regular basis, subsequently the aforementioned silhouette\u00a0has remained at the forefront of consumer focus.
