When Stephen Curry<\/strong> takes the court to compete in the Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout and Degree Shooting Stars contest tonight, he will honor the memory of Deah Shaddy Barakat, one of three Muslim students killed this week near University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n Deah, 23, his wife, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha, 21, and her sister, Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19, were shot to death on Tuesday in North Carolina, where Curry grew up and starred for Davidson College. Craig Stephen Hicks, their neighbor,\u00a0later turned himself in and faces three\u00a0counts of first-degree murder.<\/p>\n Following the tragic shooting, Deah’s\u00a0sister\u00a0told reporters\u00a0that her brother “was well-known for his all embracing kindness, lightheartedness, dedication to community service, love for basketball and anything Steph Curry.”<\/p>\n Word of Deah’s\u00a0love for Stephen Curry reached the All-Star, who tweeted a message of condolence:<\/p>\n #RIP<\/a> to my fan and from what I hear a great human being @arabprodigy30<\/a>, his wife & sister-in-law.
