With this iconic model being a part of the litany of remastered retro releases for the 2015 calendar year, a look into the past seems fitting for this sleek model. Coming off a season in which he secured his first NBA championship along with an NBA MVP award and several additional accolades, no entity could stop the proverbial storm that was Michael Jordan. Building upon that success, the aforementioned 1991-92 season would remain pivotal for Jordan and the Bulls as he captured his second straight NBA title as well as incorporating averages of 31.5 points per game, 5.5 assists and 6 rebounds per outing, thus securing his second straight MVP. While those statistics are intriguing, another facet of that season was the release of the Air Jordan 7.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>The Air Jordan 7<\/h2>\n<p>The Air Jordan 7 was a sleek and innovative model that incorporated a higher-cut silhouette much like the two previous models: the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 6. Utilizing perforated leather throughout the side panels, this creation by noted designer Tinker Hatfield fused technology from the iconic Nike Huarache line, a line in which Hatfield helped create.<\/p>\n<p>However, while the Air Jordan 7 is iconic now, plenty of Air Jordan enthusiasts were split on the eclectic design of the aforementioned shoe.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Remastered Retros<\/h2>\n<p>As we&#8217;ve documented previously, 2015 is a special occasion for the Jordan Brand as this year a bevy of &#8220;remastered&#8221; silhouettes will be available at retailers. Incorporating finer quality with a higher price point, this litany of newly constructed but nostalgic models has garnered plenty of discussion within the sneaker world. However, while plenty of &#8220;OG&#8221; models haven&#8217;t\u00a0witnessed\u00a0the &#8220;remastered&#8221; treatment as of yet, a variety of intriguing silhouette have, such as the Air Jordan 7 &#8220;French Blue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Year In Review: 2002<\/h2>\n<p>With the Air Jordan 7 &#8220;French Blue&#8221; initially arriving at retailers back in 2002, it only seems right that we showcase the year that was in order to provide the proper context. Starting things off, the New England Patriots captured their first Super Bowl by defeating the St.Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI, David Carr became the first pick for the newly-cemented Houston Texans franchise in the 2002 NFL draft and the Los Angeles Lakers captured their third straight title defeating the New Jersey Nets four games to none, to secure their three-peat and subsequent dynasty.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Air Jordan 7 &#8220;French Blue&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>The Air Jordan 7 &#8220;French Blue&#8221; elicits a mostly tonal silhouette as white tumbled leather decorates a majority of the upper. In addition, the aforementioned model employs textured laces along with metallic finishes along the laces. Also, hues of french blue and flint\u00a0grey canvas the outsole of the model.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Legacy of Air Jordan 7 &#8220;French Blue&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>The legacy of the Air Jordan 7 &#8220;French Blue&#8221; is interesting for a variety of reasons due to its niche appearances within the sneaker community. While the legion of celebrities seen in the model remains few and far in between, some notable acts have showcased this model such as Drake and Fabolous.<\/p>\n Drake in the Air Jordan 7 &#8220;French Blue&#8221;
