Every\u00a0person has that one<\/em> shoe they bring out during the winter months. This particular pair of kicks is simply ideal for the winter season whether it’s a beater, a weather-resistant sneaker or a shoe featuring dark tones.<\/p>\n

For our latest installment of\u00a0Kick Chronicles<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, we, the Snkrs Day staff, identify and detail\u00a0our go-to sneakers for the winter season.\u00a0Check out the shoes each of us selected, and share with us your\u00a0go-to shoe of the winter months.<\/p>\n

Nike Air Foamposite Pro Silver\/Black<\/h3>\n

My go-to winter sneaker has to be the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Silver\/Black. I got these back in ’05 for Christmas in high school, planning to hoop in them. They were alright on the court, but they really worked in the Michigan winters. Once I was a freshman at Michigan State, they were a staple of the fall and the winter. The synthetic upper is pretty much weather-proof and the solid sole isn’t changing color with any of the elements. Lace up a pair of these with some wool socks and you’re pretty much set. Honorable mention to the Grey\/Black Mowabbs which saw similar sporting during that same era.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Air Jordan 5 “Wolf Grey”<\/h3>\n

Towards the end of each year, I always bring the “Wolf Grey” Air Jordan 5 out on a consistent basis. I have a ton of grey shoes, but this one is most ideal for the winter season in my opinion. I love the texture of these 5s, and they pretty much go with everything in my closet.<\/p>\n

Air Jordan\u00a01 Black\/Red<\/h3>\n
My go-to shoe for the winter season is without a doubt the Air Jordan 1″Bred.” I don’t know why, but I always gravitate to these. No matter whether there’s snow outside or not, I just have to have these on. They surely have taken a beating, but they keep on ticking. Who needs boots when these are as all purpose as it gets?<\/div>\n

Nike Air Tech Challenge II “French Open”<\/h3>\n

I’m not a fan of cold weather or precipitation. Unfortunately, the winter season brings both and mixes them together.\u00a0 While I have a different go to shoe every winter, there is a common thread – it is always my favorite worn out summer shoe with a predominantly leather or synthetic upper.\u00a0 This winter is has been the Nike Air Tech Challenge II “French Open”.\u00a0 With the faded black denim backs, the more that these get worn, the better they look in my opinion.\u00a0 Next spring, I’ll give the shoes a good clean up and probably have something that I will enjoy more than I did this past summer.<\/p>\n

Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”<\/h3>\n

My go-to shoe during the winter season is definitely the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”. Not only does this silhouette look good in treacherous\u00a0conditions, it holds up pretty well without being too difficult to clean.<\/p>\n

Air Jordan\u00a03 “Black Flip”<\/h3>\n

My go-to shoe for the winter would definitely have to be my “Black Flip” 3s. Being one solid color I can literally wear them with anything in my closet and they look great with whatever style of pants I choose to wear. The leather inner lining makes for a comfortable ride, and the elephant print on the upper is really durable. I think the only thing that could take me out of my “Black Flip” 3s, would be JB dropping another run of “Black Cat” 4s.<\/p>\n
