In a story that looks to be a viable candidate for Charlamagne Tha God’s Donkey of the Day segment, transportation worker Charles Jennings of the Intermodal Cartage Group believed he could get away with stealing approximately 7,500 pairs of Nike LeBron 12s; that’s a value of nearly $1 million dollars. According to Complex, a special task force was created to nab Jennings as he looked to make a break with the trailer full of LeBron signature models. The aforementioned task force was comprised of the FBI, U.S. Marshal’s Service, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, and Memphis Police Department.

Assistant Chief Mark Dunbar of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office shared some of his sentiments with Memphis’ Fox affiliate WBRC, as Dunbar states: “With the size of that shipment, the odds are not very good you’re going to be able to get away with it.”

According to reports, of the 7,500 pairs of sneaker stolen, only 6,800 were retrieved. Major props to the law enforcement within the Memphis area.

In some what related news, the Christmas Nike LeBron 12 “Akron Birch” was just unveiled today.
