For those taking the road less traveled, being a megastar in music has also proven a possible path to getting love from JB.<\/p>\n

Though the list is short, the number of artists who have been gifted Air Jordan PEs is certainly growing. A shift in the market and new perception on who the actual influencers are has shot musicians up the totem pole of power, making them the ideal endorsers for what is now a lifestyle product. After Macklemore hit us with two exclusive Air Jordan 6 PEs this past week, we decided to take a look back at all the musicians who have scored their own PEs from JB.<\/p>\n

Slim Shady came on the scene around the same time Mike retired from the Bulls. While his ultra-controversial subject matter would make him a tough endorser in the super PC world we live in today, Marshall Mathers’ star power and high visibility helped him score two exclusive Air Jordan colorways of his own inspiration. From the coveted Air Jordan 4 collab to “The Way I Am” 2s, Eminem was one of the original artists to receive his own Js.<\/p>\n

The ambassador of H-Town, Port Arthur and hip-hop in general also happens to be one of the most liked guys in the biz. Yep, Bun B really is as nice as Kanye claimed he was a The Source Awards. A man of many strong relationships, his ties to Jordan Brand helped him score this exclusive colorway of Chris Paul’s sixth signature for All-Star Weekend in Houston.<\/p>\n

Notable Colorways:<\/strong> “Legends of the Summer” Air Jordan 1s, Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 3<\/p>\n

The “Suit & Tie” artist avoided hard bottoms on tour thanks to a slew of “Legends of the Summer” Air Jordan 1, 2 and 3 PEs. Mostly reliant on red-based blocking, the flashy exclusives were subject to scavenger hunt giveaways for fans across the country. These never got the retail treatment, but some good friends of JT and JB were lucky enough to score some pairs.<\/p>\n

After being friends with benefits of Jordan Brand for the early stretch of his career, the Jumpman and the YMCMB star made it official in 2013 with an endorsement deal. While the signing hasn’t led to any retail releases yet, it has kept Drake laced in a host of PEs. The “OVO” and “Drake vs. Lil Wayne” exclusives have made headlines consistently, while Mark Smith also designed a special take of the Air Jordan 3 that Drizzy donned in the “Anaconda” music video.<\/p>\n

Usher has been on the scene from Jodeci to Bieber. The singing star has been subject to some of the shiniest Air Jordan PEs as of late, breaking out “Solid Gold” takes on the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 9 and Air Jordan 11 silos for episodes of The Voice<\/em>, magazine shoots and live performances. Of all the artist exclusives, would the Usher makeups actually make for the biggest hit as a retail release?<\/p>\n

Macklemore<\/h2>\n

So far the recipe for Macklemore Air Jordan exclusives has been simple but effective: tonal takes in unique hues set to suede. While his “Northwest King Salmon” Melos made a splash on the web, his recent renditions of the Air Jordan 6 are really turning heads.
