The upcoming “Elephant Print” Nike Air Foamposite Pro and “Wheat” Nike Air Foamposite are two of the most polarizing colorways we’ve seen on these iconic silhouettes. You either like them or you don’t; there’s no in between. But doesn’t that define the Foamposite model in general?

For our latest installment of Kick Chronicles, we, the Snkrs Day staff, identify and detail our favorite and most disliked Foamposites of all time. Check out the Foams each of us selected, and share with us your favorite and most disliked Foamposites.

With the countless amount of sneakers I’ve owned over my life, I have never had a pair of Foamposites. The price is just too steep for my pocket book. However, I still appreciate the Eric Avar designed silhouette and what it means to sneaker culture. My favorite Foamposite would have to be the “Copper” Foamposite One, the metallic flair complemented the shoes aesthetic very well.

My least favorite foamposites comes from the monsoon of printed foams being dropped on our heads over the last year. Easy pick for me since I’ve hated the “Weatherman” and “Thermal Map” Foamposites since I first laid eyes on them, by far the worst foam drops in the silhouette’s history.

Twitter: @C_White1911/Instagram: c_white1911

My favorite Foamposite ever is the “Dark Neon Royal” colorway. Yup, obvious choice, but this actually my favorite shoe of all time. Back when these dropped, I was in third or fourth grade and there was no way that even my mom was going to drop $180 on a sneaker for a kid with a growing foot. I tried everything to get these. I was even Mike Bibby for Halloween in fifth grade, hoping that my mom would get me a pair so my costume was up to detail. These shoes finally came back when I was in college and I used all my birthday money to buy a pair. One of the only shoes I’ve ever paid more than retail for and still my favorite shoe ever.

Twitter: @ianstonebrook/Instagram: ianstonebrook

First off, I’m not a super, big Foamposite fan, but I do like simple, clean colorways that we’ve seen on this silhouette. The 2003-released, all-black Foamposite Pro is my favorite without a doubt. I love the simplicity and versatility of it more than anything.

On the contrary, I despise the prints on some of the latest Foamposite, specifically the “Weatherman” Foamposite. The Doppler radar incorporation was done perfectly on the KD IV, but it was way too busy on the Foamposite, in my opinion.

Twitter: @geokthree/Instagram: geokthree

Twitter: @petersim/Instagram: petersim

My all-time favorite Foamposite would have to be the Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant”. Although I typically like Pros better than the Ones due to the Swoosh on the side, it’s just hard to beat the “Eggplant” colorway. The darker tones provide a somewhat subtle color scheme on a shoe that is all but subtle, so I think it contrasts nicely. They also have that iridescent matte finish, that looks way better than that glossy finish they are dropping now-a-days.

My least favorite Foamposite of all time? It has to be the “Asteroid” Foamposite Pro, or as I call them, the “(Ass)teroids”. These things are just hideous. If you are under the age of 10, maybe 11, they’d be pretty sweet, but I feel a little bit embarrassed every time i see a grown man wearing these. The print is awful, the gradient color scheme is awful, all-together, this is just an awful shoe.

Twitter: @MikePDiddy/Instagram: mikepdiddy

My favorite Foamposite would have to be the Metallic Red Nike Air Foamposite One. While it remains simple within its design, the bright hues of red definitely provide a statement whenever worn. Whether you’re on the court or just strolling through the mall, this model is forever a surefire hit.

I wish I could continuously hit the “bruh” button whenever I see the “Weatherman” Nike Air Foamposite One . For what it’s worth, the idea may have been spectacular within the initial development stages, however, the execution was a total disaster. Not only is this model the worst Foamposite ever, this is a candidate for being one of the worst Nike sneakers ever, in my opinion.

Twitter: pierceisdope/Instagram: pierceisdope

My all-time favorite foamposite? Easy, the “Pearl” Nike Air Foamposite Pro. Aesthetically the Nike Foamposite is a top 3 silhouette for me, and with this simple yet classy colorway, this shoe is perfect from it’s black and red tongue tab, to it’s icy blue outsole. I also remember seeing Ray Allen, a huge influencer for me at the time rocking these in Spike Lee’s “He Got Game.”

Twitter: @sidashford/Instagram: sidashford

The upcoming “Elephant Print” Nike Air Foamposite Pro and “Wheat” Nike Air Foamposite are two of the most polarizing colorways…

[2
178,1749,1225857

2":"type-post

Cameron White
