“Master Roshe” is a tall title, but if the shoe fits, CJ Fly will wear it. While sneakerheads before have claimed to be the ‘King of Jordans’ or maybe even had a doctorate in Dunks, the Pro Era MC is carving his own lane in the Sportswear silo that’s become the people’s champ in recent years. As CJ prepares to hit the road for the B4DA$$ Tour with his Pro Era compadres, we get a preview of what he’ll be packing in this installment of My 5.

CJ Fly: “I think I saw Kendrick Lamar wearing the blue ones the other day and I was kind of mad that Nike didn’t send me them before him! [Laughs] I fell in love with the Roshe Run at the Nike Store in Portland and I’ve been Master Roshe since then. I have all of the fire Roshes.”

CJ Fly: “They’re just shiny. [Laughs] They’re one of my most prized pairs because they have a different vibe to them. They’re very elegant, they look royal.”

CJ Fly: “I wish I could get my own colorway of these. I’d make them peacock colors. The triangles on the sides would look like the yellow part of a peacock and the outside would be more blue and black. The inner colors would be the vibrant colors that are on the feathers.”

CJ Fly: “I haven’t worn those in a few days, but when it was FIFA season I was wearing those all day just to show love. They’re just comfortable to me. I haven’t found the perfect pair of jeans to fit on top of the Roshe, but I’m looking into the joggers.”

CJ Fly: “I’m trying to figure out my outfits for the tour. Usually what happens is I take too many Roshes on the road and I don’t end up wearing half of them. They’re so light I can take so many because you can compact them and they won’t crease. I took probably 15 pairs last tour and I might take more this tour.”

Keep up with CJ Fly on Twitter and Instagram.
