After the video, click through the pages to explore how this futuristic model came to fruition.<\/p>\n<h2>Back To The Future 2<\/h2>\n<p>After prominent box-office success, the producers of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snkrsday.com\/tag\/back-to-the-future\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Back To The Future<\/em><\/a> trilogy sought notable designer Tinker Hatfield to see if this legendary designer could create a futuristic sneaker for the series&#8217; second installment. Tinker wanted to create a silhouette that mirrored his visions of what he believed a 21st century sneaker would look like. With an reienforced upper, the Nike Air Mag was unveiled during the 1989 theatrical release of Back To The Future 2.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Futuristic Design<\/h2>\n<p>After it&#8217;s unveiling within Back To The Future 2, many sneaker enthusiasts vouched for an opportunity to grab a pair of the &#8220;Marty McFly&#8217;s&#8221;. While they were roughly twenty-plus years ahead of it&#8217;s official release this innovative silhouette contained a reinforced upper, clear outsole, and electroluminescent lighting\u00a0surely turned some heads upon it&#8217;s unveiling.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Marty McFly<\/h2>\n<p>In 1991, star of the Back To The Future series Michael J. Fox began having symptoms of the early-onset Parkinson&#8217;s Disease. By 1998, Fox had come public with his illness and subsequently started the Michael J. Fox Foundation. With the hopes of helping Fox, noted designers began the process of re-designing the iconic sneaker.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Official Release<\/h2>\n<p>By 2006, the process had begun on the development of the Nike Air Mag. Aforementioned designer Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers looked to construct a realistc model of the futuristic silhouette. With similar noted features as seen within the movie, the Nike Air Mag officially released on <strong>September 8, 2011<\/strong>. With only 1500 pairs being released, Nike auctioned off the highly-coveted model in which all proceeds went to the Michael J. Fox foundation. After the release, the Nike Air Mag garnered \u00a0nearly 6-million dollars for the Michael J.
