And just like that, summer is gone. Sure, temperatures may stay above 90 degrees in certain regions of the country for weeks to come, but at the end of the day, school has started and so has football. As the weather changes, so will wardrobes and release dates. With that in mind, we’re calling early 10 Sneakers That Will Dominate Fall 2014. Let us know your take in the comment section, and see how we did at the beginning of the year and going into the summer.

By now you know, the Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrared is coming back. While that itself is worth tossing some extra change in the piggy bank, it also appears they’ll be back and better than ever. 3M underlays will be featured on this release, just like the OG, a detail that hasn’t hit retail in years.

Does a Supreme collaboration guarantee the popularity of a shoe? Well, mostly. The Nike Air Force 1 has seen its emergence in the hip-hop culture over the last few years thanks to wear from the A$AP Mob. This fall, a Supreme drop will likely boost interest in the model, but more importantly, it’s safe to say people will be getting back on all-white and all-black staples. Whether low, mid or high, it’s the perfect statement shoe for drawing attention but not screaming look at me. Inline makeups and collabs like the Supreme pair will appeal to wearers of all spectrum.

For most parts of the country, summer to fall means shorts to pants. Few pairs of shoes wear as well with both than the Vans Old Skool. Gaining traction on the celeb front via Odd Future collabs and regular rotation by Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Ferg and more, the Vans Old Skool is classic and grunge at the same time. They look just as good beat up as they do brand new, taking well to a wide range of colorways.

On the performance tip, Boost cushioning is really hitting its stride on models like the adidas Boost 2 ESM and adidas Crazylight Boost. While athletes across the country will lace those up for exercise and competition, sneakerheads will keep their thumbs moving with the miZXFlux Photo App. Already on the market for fun, it sounds like pairs will actually go up for sale as soon as October. This app has a chance to change the colorway as we know it and reroute redundant retro purchases for something way more personalized.

The early winner for the “oh, sh*t they’re wearing those!” shoe goes to the Nike Air Command Force. Set to get the retro treatment soon, these are a daring but noteworthy rock for any fan of Billy Hoyle or just plain standing out.

We called these for the summer and it appears they’re going to roll over into the fall, too. A long list of noteworthy collabs (BAPE, atmos, X-GIRL) have the 20th Anniversary of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury doing something serious. Even better, consumers seem to be catching on.

Bought too many Roshes? Have a closet for Air Max 1s? Meet in the middle with the Nike Air Huarache. The original comfy runner is equal parts easy and retro, staying hot this season with a variety of clean, nostalgic and loud colorways.

Sure, there’s a lot of buzzing basketball shoes set to release this fall, but at the end of the day MJ is still the G.O.A.T. Capitalizing off the popularity of the Air Jordan XX8, the Air Jordan XX9 builds upon the famous Flight Plate, this time with a performance woven upper.

If you thought jogger pants were the middle ground for tech-savvy sneakerheads and super chill cozy boys then think again. The Nike Flyknit Roshe Run sees the progressive performance upper taking somewhat of a holiday on the lounge lifestyle Roshe Run. Easy going, forward thinking.

PUMA has been making a push all of 2014. Yes, they’ve partnered with a lot of rappers. Yes, the Suede is getting mentioned in the same breath as the AF1 and Superstar again. But no, they’re not stopping their. Rather than rely solely on storied silos and oft-done tech updates, PUMA is pushing the limits with the Swift pack. Edgy but clean, artsy but in bounds, the Disc Blaze takes well to the new sole on an old favorite.

And just like that, summer is gone.
