Converse has taken one of their most iconic basketball sneakers and modified it for skateboarding. The new Converse CONS Weapon Skate takes the original Converse Weapon that Magic Johnson and Larry Bird battled in during the early ’80s and tweaks its design for the ramps. Dropping the top for a low cut and adding in a drop-in Lunarlon sockliner for cushioning and CONS Traction Rubber for grip, the Weapon Skate is rolled out in a trio of colorways and put into use by CONS skater Zered Bassett. Watch the video below where Bassett skates the streets of New York in the latest version of these classic kicks below, and watch for the Converse Weapon Skate this fall for $85.
