Staff Picks rolls on into the middle of the summer with a wide array of low-top style codes. Headlined by a custom rendition of the Air Jordan 11 Low, multiple editions of the adidas ZX Flux and a special Nike Kobe 9 also continue the convertible craze. Click through the following pages to see what the Snkrs Day staff chose as their favorite sneaker stories of the week, and comment at the end with your own personal pick.

Air Jordan 11 Low “Gum Bottom” Custom

“I never thought the Air Jordan 11 could look more beautiful than it already was, but thanks to Mache, all it needed was a gum bottom.”

adidas ZX Flux

“I still hadn’t bought in to the adidas ZX Flux, until I saw these. Something about the clean brand-less look intrigues my sneaker senses.”

Nike Air Tech Challenge II “Photo Blue”

“I’ve added quite a few pairs to my Nike Air Tech Challenge II collection over the last few months, and these “Photo Blue” Tech Challenges will likely be joining the lineup. Keep ’em coming, Nike Sportswear!”

Supra Estaban

“I think these are pretty fire. The Yeezy influence appears a little over obvious in the colorways, but the deep lacing and clean lines more than make up for it. Skytops are still seen as the end all be all from Supra, but between these and the Falcons, I think they’ve managed to drop some really dope and slept-on silos in the past few years.”

Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM “Volt”

“I’m a big fan of the Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM because it’s a new silhouette and it looks super futuristic. I’m like a moth to a flame on this volt colorway.”

Nike OG Free 14 Milan

“I love Italian food, Italian cars, Italian women and Italian-inspired shoes. Simple color scheme and a nice gold accent check. Bellissimo!”

Nike Kobe 9 EM XDR “China”

“Fuego. Best Kobe 9 EM to date.”

Overkill x adidas Originals ZX Flux miadidas

“The ZX Flux has been one of the hottest shoes of the summer, and Overkill, well, they simply killed these colorways. Both of them look sick, and they just might provide me with some inspiration when I create my adidas Flux on miadidas.”

HUF Choice “Red Suede”

“Happy to hype the HUF.”

Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low “Conversion” Customs

“The Kobe 9 has been one of those silhouettes that has piqued my interest from day one, with the “Masterpiece” being one of my favorites. Now that Lows are out in their own style codes and on NIKEiD, something just didn’t connect with me like its original counterpart. Leave it up to the homie Jake Danklefs, aka Dank Customs, to flip that script. His work never ceases to amaze. Jake, you’ll be hearing from me soon.”

Staff Picks rolls on into the middle of the summer with a wide array of low-top style codes.
