This Friday, Nike Basketball will unleash the highly anticipated “King’s Crown” Nike LeBron 11 EXT<\/strong>. Although the vibrant, shimmering colored panels seem to take precedence, the shoe’s lush suede base is not to be ignored. In fact, we’ve noticed a trend with LeBron and suede sneakers on court over the years. Today, we take a look back at LeBron James’ history of debuting suede sneakers on court.<\/p>\n When: February 2010<\/strong> <\/p>\n When: November 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n The Nike LeBron 8 was the first of King James’ signature shoe to receive the suede treatment from the beginning. He debuted this particular pair in his first road game as a member of the Miami Heat, but switched to an all-black pair for the majority of the 2010-2011 NBA season.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When:\u00a0February 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n In\u00a0a 2012 NBA Finals rematch right before the 2013 All-Star break, James matched\u00a0up with\u00a0Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in his debut of a plush, all-red suede Nike LeBron X PE.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When:\u00a0January 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n In Ray Allen’s first return to Beantown since his departure to South Beach, James was actually the center of attention – at least sneaker-wise – as\u00a0he sported an all-suede, black and red\u00a0<\/span>Nike LeBron X PE<\/strong>\u00a0that featured a speckled midsole and a white outsole.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n When: June 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n Prior to the 2014 NBA Finals, James was spotted in the soon-to-be-released “King’s Crown” Nike LeBron 11 EXT during one of Miami’s shoot around sessions. \nKing James first wore suede on the NBA hardwood during the 2009-2010 NBA campaign, his last season in Cleveland.
