Oldest Pair: Reebok Shaq Attaq III (1994)

“The Shaq Attaq III from 1994 is the oldest pair own. I came across these by accident several months back looking for my all time favorite Shaq shoe, which are the Shaqnosis. Nonetheless, I found these for $80 on eBay.”

Collection Starter: OG Air Jordan 12 White/Red (1997)

“The key to my obsession was the “Cherry” XII. I remember when these came out, I wanted them so bad and out of all the sneakers my parents use to buy me this is one pair they didn’t. Maybe I didn’t have good grades, maybe I just got too many shoes, I just know I didn’t get them. After many years of searching and well before the retro was a thought, I was blessed with a pair as gift and I definitely thank them for that.”

Personal Favorite: Nike Air Zoom Generation “First Game” (2003)

“LeBron’s AZG first games are my personal favorites in my collection. I am from Cleveland so I have been into LeBrons from the beginning. At the time nobody thought anyone could be as big or bigger than Jordan, so it took me some time to find a DS pair, because most people beat them. But I got lucky a few years back.”

Most Rare Pair: Big Sean x adidas Pro Model “Detroit Player” (2012)

“I’m a sucker for all red sneakers, quality materials, and Ancient Egypt. This masterpiece of a shoe is a combination of all three. And the fact that there were only 380 made is the icing on the top.”

Most Frequent Wear: Air Jordan 4 “White Cement” (2012)

“There is just something about the “White Cement” 4s that gets me. I don’t know if it’s the speckles or just the subtle colors, but I love the shoe. It’s my go to shoe whenever I have to make a quick trip to the store or if I just don’t really feel like getting dressed, I just throw these on and keep it moving.”

Post a picture of your collection as a whole, with the hashtag #communitycollections, for a chance to be featured on Snkrs Day’ next edition of Community Collections.

Community Collections swings through the Sunshine State to highlight a sneaker enthusiast who loves his OGs.
