Tomorrow, the NBA Finals shifts to the American Airlines Arena in Miami; therefore, we’re sure to see a whole new crop of sneakers from both the Heat and the Spurs. The latter will shelve the white-based ‘Home’ shoes for the darker-toned ‘Away’ shoes, while the Heat will more than likely take to the court in a wide variety of shoes to match their white, red and black uniforms.

Before we witness the new sneaker debuts in tomorrow’s Game 3, we take a look back at the sneaker notables we noticed in the first two games and surrounding practice sessions.

Before the NBA Finals even began, James was debuting unreleased sneakers on the court. In the Heat’s final practice before the series kicked off, James captured every reporter’s attention by stepping onto the court in the gaudy “King’s Crown” Nike LeBron 11 EXT.

Although King James has found a certain comfort level in the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier VII, Nike continues to supply special colorways of the Nike LeBron 11. While James was busy debuting the “King’s Crown” Nike LeBron 11 during the Heat’s first practice session, this never-before-seen, gold-accented pair sat on stand-by in case King James decided to lace up a new Elite 11.

Manu Ginobili has come a long way after blowing his shoe out midway through the regular season. Following that mishap, he consistently wore the “Graffiti” Nike LeBron 11, a shoe we thought he would wear until he retired seeing that only a couple of the Spurs switch shoes on the regular. Yet, in what may be the surprise of the NBA Finals so far, sneaker-wise, Nike sent Ginobili three new LeBron 11 colorways for the Finals, including this grey and gold pair that he wore in the first two games.

As if debuting the “King’s Crown” Nike LeBron 11 EXT wasn’t enough in the Heat’s first practice session in San Antonio, James garnered even more attention in the Heat’s practice prior to Game 2. The 4-time MVP became the second player to wear the Nike Air Yeezy 2 on court. Obviously, he didn’t wear them in an official game, but wearing an unconventional, non-basketball shoe that happens to be one of the most sought-after shoes of the past five years is pretty crazy.

Every year, Jordan Brand and Nike incorporate gold accents into the sneakers they create for their respective athletes playing on the NBA’s biggest stage. This year, Nike has supplied LeBron with a couple of distinctive looks for the hardwood. Following the grey and gold Soldier VII he wore in Game 1, King James laced up a black, gold and salmon-colored pair of the same shoes in Game 2. Black and gold is more in line with what we usually see this time of year, but the salmon touch surprisingly complimented Miami’s color scheme nicely.

LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Gay and Chris Bosh have undoubtedly worn the most eye-catching Nike Hyperposite player exclusives on court over the past couple of years. In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the latter wore what may not be the best colorway we’ve seen on his feet, but definitely one of the most brazen pairs we’ve seen worn by anyone.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Dwyane Wade wears a different colorway of his Li-Ning Way of Wade 2 Encore in every game of the NBA Finals. The 10-time NBA All-Star wore more colorways of his shoe than any other signature athlete in the NBA this season. After sporting a purple, stingray-textured Encore PE during the same practice session that LeBron debut the “King’s Crown” LeBron 11 EXT, Wade followed that up with a black-colored pair of the Way of Wade 1 Encore in Game 1 and this audacious “Gold Rush” Way of Wade 2 Encore in Game 2.

We knew Jordan Brand would do something special with the Air Jordan XX8 SE for the Finals seeing that the player-friendly silhouette is the go-to of both Kawhi Leonard and Ray Allen. Both PEs were expertly created, with Leonard’s pair sporting a mainly gold-colored base and gold/black elephant trim while Ray Allen’s pair uses gold and red as accent colors on a black base.

Most of the Kicks On Court hoopla surrounds LeBron James’ footwear, and rightfully so, but Norris Cole has been flying under the radar when it comes to sneakers on the Miami Heat’s roster. We’ve spotted him in the Nike Air Zoom Generation on a number of occasions throughout the regular season and playoffs, and he’s worn some notable Soldier VII, including the red and gold pair that he wore in Game 2.
