Hip-hop heads with an ear to the blogs know Deniro Farrar as the creator of ‘Cult Rap.’ While the rising MC is currently carving a lane and a genre, he’s doing so in a variety of classic and comfy kicks. Following the launch of his new Rebirth EP, we caught up with Deniro to reveal what he’s rocking these days in this installment of My 5.

Deniro Farrar: “They’re classic. Mine still look deadstock. I’ve been a fan since they released the first time when I was a kid. They released again when I was in high school, and then they released again and I got them. I could never afford them, but I was always a fan of them.”

Deniro Farrar: “I never abandoned the Air Force 1. A lot of people abandoned the Air Force 1 and jumped on the Jordan thing really hard with all the hypebeast stuff. I like what I like, and I’ve always been a fan of Air Force 1s – Air Force 1s were like Jordans to me back in the day. I’ve always rocked them.”

Deniro Farrar: “I picked those up at Footaction on 34th in New York. Destroyed denim is always the best because you can throw those on with just a white t-shirt. I’m simple, I’m not really big in to high end fashion or anything crazy.”

Deniro Farrar: “When I was in Texas for South by Southwest, I brought only Timberlands to perform in and my feet were killing me. I finally got free and bought some Roshe Runs. I’m wearing the all-red with the silver Swoosh.”

Deniro Farrar: “I love the 9. It’s one of my favorite styles of Jordans. Grey, black and white is a solid colorway– you can mix a lot of stuff with them.”

Deniro Farrar’s Rebirth EP is available now on iTunes.
