With a preference for Nike Basketball silhouettes over the AJ series, this sneaker enthusiast has lived on the top shelf of the line, bringing in some of the most exclusive and sought-after makeups from KD, LeBron, and Kobe alike. I don&#8217;t go out of my way to buy a shoe unless I&#8217;m sure that I will wear them. I&#8217;ve been collecting shoes off and on since about 2007, but I remember before I even was into shoes like that, I owned the<strong> &#8220;DMP&#8221; Air Jordan XI<\/strong> and <strong>VI<\/strong> pack and I wore them for physical education class in 7th or 8th grade. I was just a kid who loved the shoes that I was fortunate enough to have my Mom buy me back then. Nowadays, I&#8217;m really not into Jordans since the quality and colorways that have dropped lately just don&#8217;t catch my attention, or I don&#8217;t even think they&#8217;re worth retail. I&#8217;m more into Nike basketball products, along the lines of <strong>KDs<\/strong>, <strong>LeBrons<\/strong>, <strong>Kobes<\/strong>, and a few <strong>Foamposites<\/strong>. The one thing I can say about my collection that I&#8217;m proud of is that it&#8217;s q<em>uality over quantity<\/em>. I&#8217;d personally rather skip on five general releases and save my money to cop a shoe that I&#8217;ve wanted for a while or that I love the colorway.&#8221;<br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Most Rare Pair: Nike KD IV &#8220;Weatherman&#8221;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;I was lucky enough to make a trade and get these during my birthday month. I definitely made my own birthday amazing that year! It was a great feeling, being able to get my hands on these. I saw the colorway online and told all of my friends how badly I wanted them, but the resale prices were outrageous. Long story short, I grabbed a pair of &#8220;Miami Vice&#8221; LeBron 9s for retail and traded for the Weathermans, plus cash. I love the LeBrons, but I can find them for a lot cheaper even nowadays.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Personal Favorite: <\/strong>Nike LeBron VIII &#8220;South Beach&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cThis pair of sneakers is just bananas to me. The LeBron 8 model is definitely my favorite LeBron model, and this colorway is just a jaw dropper. You can use black laces to tone it down, but if you want to break necks, you can throw on the pink laces and make them pop more. I did have to pay resale on them, but when I copped them, it was my birthday month and I figured I&#8217;d get myself something nice. I&#8217;m still hoping to double up on them one of these days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Collection Starter: <\/strong>Air Jordan 11 &#8220;Playoffs&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI remember back in middle school, I had a friend who used to have all the Jordans. He actually had a pair of &#8220;Playoff&#8221; 11s, and I thought they were sick. At the time, I had no clue on where I could find them or how much they would cost, so I didn&#8217;t really go hunting for them. A couple months ago, I was scrolling through a local Facebook group and found a pair for dirt cheap. All I thought about was middle school and how badly I wanted them. Now having them in my collection, I will treasure them forever. Even though I&#8217;m not into Jordans like that at all, these are something special to me\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Most Frequent Wear: <\/strong>Nike KD VI &#8220;Meteorology&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;The KD VI model is just comfortable and easy to rock. This colorway in general is just a shoe I can throw on to go anywhere. I did think it was a little plain with black laces, so I did a lace swap with pink. The lace swap in my opinion just sets it off and makes the shoe look 10 times better! The KD VI was being slept on until the &#8220;Aunt Pearl&#8221; release, so when I bring them out with the lace swap, people at the malls are always wondering what they are.
