A winner is a winner. Ronnie Fieg has shown us over the years just what can be done with the ASICS Gel Lyte III, but his next project set to drop on the ASICS Gel Lyte V silhouette borrows inspiration from two prior make ups on the GL-III. This got us thinking, what other great Gel Lyte IIIs that Ronnie has worked up could translate well to the Gel Lyte V silhouette. Check out our favorite 8.

Colorway: “Flip OG” At the launch for a collaborative GT-Quick, fans in line got the chance to cop a true quickstrike. The “Flip OG” Gel Lyte III featured black updates to the famed OG colorway of the GL3, launch as a complete surprise with images and description of this collaboration never hitting the web.

Colorway: “Culture Shoq” Ronnie Fieg took the collaboration process to another level by incorporating his favorite blogs in the Trilogy Project. Teaming with lifestyle site Culture Shoq, Fieg featured purple hints on a predominantly white and grey base.

Colorway: “Navy-Aqua” Built in blue, the “Navy-Aqua” colorway released after the “Super Reds.” The shoe’s sported less contrast than the previous pair, relying on composition over contrast.

Colorway: “Snkrs Day 2.0″ Matt and Ronnie connected once again on the sequel to the first Snkrs Day collab. A cool grey colorway was of the times, selling out online and in store at David Z, as well as the Snkrs Day shop in Austin.

Colorway: “MOSSAD” Inspired by Israel’s special ops sector, the “Mossad” makeup never made it to retailers. A one-of-one exclusive was given away by Snkrs Day, though. Olive nubuck nodded to the military theme, with orange and burgundy accents providing color contrast.

Colorway: “Salmon Toe” A favorite of many Fieg fans, the “Salmon Toes” opened new lanes for color blocking on the collaborative classic. The shoes served as the first release for the grand opening of the Brooklyn-based Kith location, with shoppers having a chance at special box set packaging from Good Wood and commemorative dog tags. A limited amount of pairs were also sold online.

Colorway: “ECP” The East Coast Project is the latest from Ronnie. Paying tribute to the Big Apple and Will Smith’s second home, the shoes channel two of Fieg’s favorite cities and draw color inspiration from their iconic sports teams. Like previous collabs, the kicks are composed of premium materials and have corresponding clothing collections. Both models debut updated footbed inserts and will release at Kith’s first pop-up shops.

Colorway: “Snkrs Day” Snkrs Day released their first collaborative kick back in 2009 with help from Ronnie and David Z. The shoes came with a matching mesh bag and released online at DavidZ.com and at David Z’s flagship store in SoHo.

A winner is a winner.
