Collection Summary:

“Being born in 1996, pretty much after the reign of MJ, and growing up playing sports other than basketball, getting new sneakers was never really a priority. Maybe buying one or two pairs of Nikes on clearance at the beginning of a school year, Jordans and other more expensive shoes were definitely out of the question. It wasn’t really until my foot stopped growing that I ever even debated spending money on nicer sneakers. After seeing my cousin wearing a pair of Jordans, and my friend Josh telling me to camp outside with him for the Concords, collecting actually became more serious. Being a ’90s baby, collecting stuff like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards was basically second nature, and I tend to make a habit of stocking up on a collection once I start. Now that I’ve been into sneakers for a couple years and going off to college soon, I’ve taken a bit of a step back to focus more on school and photography. I’ll get back into it soon once I get a steadier job, but for now check out my collection and growing passion for photography!”

Collection Starter: Air Jordan 11 “Concord”

“Concords. One of the most hyped sneakers to ever release? I would agree, and of course it’s the one shoe that my friend managed talking me into buying. Being the first time really having to study up on Jordans, I soon came to a conclusion that I wouldn’t mind learning more about them and buying more in the future. Waiting outside 12+ hours for the first time was a pretty eye-opening experience, and to this day Josh still reminds me how he helped to kick the collecting off.”

Oldest Pair: Air Jordan 13 “Wheat”

“Obviously not bought back in 2004 while I was still eight, I was able to grab these not too long ago. I do like XIIIs but they’re definitely not one of my top Jordan models. I pretty much only like the XIIIs because of this colorway, which is why when they popped up locally my size, I bought immediately!”

Most Rare Pair: Nike LeBron 9 “China”

“Although I’ve sadly sold some of my rarer pairs, I would consider this to be my “personal” rarest. From when I first started collecting, China LeBron 9s were always a pair I had on my list of must-haves. In one week, I was able to not only hunt down this deadstock pair that are slowly becoming increasingly uncommon, but also a second pair that I can wear to beat around!”

Most Frequent Wear: Air Jordan 4 Black/Red

“Classic pretty much sums it up. The IV’s design in general is dope in that regard, but with an all-black nubuck upper with hints of red and cement grey, this shoe has no faults. Considering you can pull them off with most fits, the amounts of wears that I have put into them still have people asking me if they’re brand new. ”

Personal Favorite: Diamond Supply Co. x Nike SB Dunk High

“Passing on buying the lows a couple months back and after hearing that they planned to release a high version of the Tiffany SBs, I knew I had to get a pair. Owning a variety of SBs in the past, the hypebeast within started to flare out a bit, along with the rest of the sneaker community. Although I wanted them, I frankly couldn’t bring myself to camping outside for over two days in the brisk February weather in Rhode Island. Those who waited got their pairs and I settled for Nike.com, where I struck out once more. Luckily with the help from my best friend getting two pairs online and selling one to my girl so she could give them to me as a gift, I was able to get them for virtually nothing. Between the colorway and the story, I definitely classify these my personal favorite!”
