Collection Summary:

“Growing up and balling during the MJ era, you might think I call a huge Air Jordan collection my own. Well, that’s not the case. When I used to play basketball as a kid, I owned a pair of Air Jordan III Black Cement OGs and AND1 Stephon Marbury IIs. My favorite ones used to be the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95. After 14 long years of not being active at basketball, I am back in the game for two years now and enjoying my passion for basketball kicks. In the search for a performance model that suits my style of balling, collecting shoes became a huge obsession, and I know it won’t change any time soon! My collection is dominated by ‘loud’ and colorful new-school performance kicks. Take a look at my stash that I keep cool in my Heineken fridge, for everyday use.”

Most Frequent Wear: Nike Kobe 9 “Maestro” (2014)

“I can’t say a lot about these shoes, but damn they look fresh! Definitely a neck-breaker at the gym. In my opinion, one of the most artistic and innovative looking basketball shoes ever made. I only balled in them once, but they totally keep up with my expectations! The traction is out of this world!”

Oldest Pair: Reebok Question Mid “Pearlized Red” (2006)

“This one I call my ‘oldest pearl’ amongst my young collection. I am a big fan of Allen Iverson, his game, and his style! I found this 2006 release at the bay. A British seller deadstocked these for a while. I wore them the minute I unboxed them. Yes, I actually wear all of my shoes.”

Most Rare Pair: Nike Kobe 7 “Galaxy” (2012)

“One of the only performance models I copped intentionally to wear casually. These were sold out the minute they got released. Unfortunately I couldn’t get my hands on them, and I had to wait for several months until someone sold me his own pair. I spent a fortune but it was worth every single dime.”

Collection Starter: Nike LeBron 9 “Summit Lake Hornets” (2012)

“It’s kind of a love and hate relationship with these kicks. I fell in love with them the second I saw them sitting on the shelves of our local Nike Store. I like bright colors and modern silhouettes. Both finished very nicely on these particular kicks. I copped them right away and was so excited on how they would perform in the gym. Unexpectedly, they disappointed me though. After having played in them maybe twice, they never found their way back into the gym. As I needed a replacement that better suited my needs, I ended up becoming obsessed.”

Personal Favorite: Nike Kobe 8 “Extraterrestrial” (2013)

“There aren’t any other shoes that I have been rockin’ in Hamburg’s gyms this often and happily. These beasts are low to the ground and comfy like a sock with great traction, which never lets me down (even in the most dirty and dusty gyms). They are unbreakable, no matter how many times people would step on my feet. To this day, the “Extraterrestrial” edition is my absolute favorite colorway. After missing out on the retail release, I copped a pair later on the bay. To me, they are still my all-time favorites since I discovered them.”
