Collection Summary:

“Growing up with divorced parents can sometimes come with perks. My Father would always have me laced in fresh kicks, and my Mom’s job was to buy the outfits. My shoe preferences therefore came with my father’s interests, because if he was getting them for himself, I’d have them too; until my feet got to a men’s size, ha! I didn’t get serious into sneakers until around 2007. I think that was my 7th or 8th grade year, and I stumbled upon the Snkrs Day website in my Spanish class. Thanks to Matt and the site, that year my father got me the Air Jordan Retro 1 “Old Love, New Love” Pack, “Aqua” 8s and the “Playoff” 8s. Ever since then, Snkrs Day has been my go-to sneaker source for coverage and releases. My collection started off as mainly retro releases, a few Forces here and there, but since then it’s grown with all the buying, selling and trade market. I cop general releases and limited releases, just whatever I like.”

Personal Favorite: Nike Kobe 7 and 8 “What The Kobe”

“The “What The Kobe” series break necks so easily. I love rocking them with just about anything, and Kobes have always been comfortable to wear.”

Collection Starter: Reebok Pumps

“My whole style is heavy influenced by the late ’80s and early ’90s. You can notice my Tupac from “Juice” haircut. With that said, “Juice” is one of all time favorite movies. When I watch those older movies, I take notice of the sneakers. Like in “Do The Right Thing” and “White Men Can’t Jump”. If you take notice in the first scenes in “Juice”, Q (Omar Epps) is deciding what to wear, and he goes through both the Reebok Omni Zone Pump and the Reebok Twilight Zone Pump. Right there, I said I have to have them. Not to mention, they were made famous by NBA legends Dee Brown and the “Human Highlight Film”, Dominique Wilkins.”

Most Rare Pair: Nike Air Max 95 Safari “Animal Pack” (2007)

“One of my personal grails. It literally took me almost four years to find a pair deadstock, and they came with the OG Nike Arch Supports that Nike used to put in the running shoe boxes. They just take me back to my childhood. I feel like I’m in Jumanji with these on.”

Oldest Pair: Air Jordan 11 Low “Snakeskin” (2001)

“I had to be about 8-years-old when they released, and my dad wouldn’t get them. So my freshman year in college, it was amazing when I finally purchased them deadstock with OG everything.”

Most Frequent Wear: Nike Roshe Run FB “Leopard”

“I waited patiently for that U.S. release date. Sizes sold quick when they released overseas, and I snagged them perfectly from Nike.com. Probably the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever tried on, and the colors just brighten any room.”
