Most Rare Pair: Nike Air Yeezy “Zen Grey” (2009)

“Even though I see many people with Yeezys, I believe that they would be the rarest shoe I own. The materials used on this shoe outdid many of the releases that were brought out during that year. Of course I do own many Quickstrike Forces that many don’t own, like the “Stash” AF1, “Easter” AF1, and Nike AF1 “Cocoa”, etc. The Nike Air Yeezy has its own special spot in my collection that just surpasses certain shoes, because of the way I obtained them.”

Most Frequent Wear:Nike SB Air Trainer 1 “Gold Digger” (2005)

“Why not have a rare shoe as a beater? The Nike SB Trainer 1 “Gold Diggers” are definitely an eye grabber in my city. Benny Gold outdid himself with this shoe concept. The distressed leather on these gives them a unique look, and they are without a doubt very comfortable.”

Personal Favorite: Nike SB Dunk Low “Tiffany” (2005)

“No questions asked, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Tiffanys” are my personal favorite. This was a time when Nike SB was at its prime. It never fails that when I wear them, people often compliment them or offer to buy them off my feet. I can honestly say I was very fortunate to obtain these and will always be grateful for having them in my collection.”

Oldest Pair: Nike Air Pippen 1 (1997)

“This shoe was given to me from one of my closest friends that retired from the game. As you can tell, it had a great life. Many people keep their shoes in boxes and they never see the light of day. Eventually everything comes to an end, so make sure you wear your kicks.”

Collection Starter: Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Canvas” (2003)

“This simple Nike Air force 1 was the starter to my collection. When I first held it in my hand, I knew that there was something unique with this shoe. It wasn’t a limited style, nor was it a shoe that was thought to sell out as soon as stores opened. I loved it because the materials used (canvas) was something I have never seen on a shoe before. From then on, I began to look for shoes that had the extra quality that made them stand out.”

Post a picture of your collection as a whole on Instagram with the hashtag #communitycollections, or send it to info@snkrsday.com for a chance to be featured on Snkrs Day’ next edition of Community Collections.

Community Collections hikes back to the Left Coast to feature a California sneaker enthusiast who has a little bit of…

[1207912,1215390,618
1225861,1215671,1215586

2":"type-post
