According to <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/college-sports\/story\/_\/id\/10270876\/notre-dame-fighting-irish-select-armour-next-apparel-deal\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN&#8217;s Darren Rovell<\/a>, the school is leaving the Three Stripes and joining the <strong>Under Armour<\/strong> team. With their adidas contract expiring at the end of this school year, every Fighting Irish sports team is expected to switch brands in the near future. Well-known as one of the most valuable equipment contracts in college athletics, Notre Dame&#8217;s deal with adidas officially began in 1997, with a 10-year renewal in 2005. When the <em>University of Michigan<\/em> signed a record-setting <em>$8.2 million<\/em> with the German company in 2008, ND seemed to become second priority and opened up their options for a change. Notre Dame would join Maryland, Auburn, Northwestern, South Carolina and six other notable schools wearing Under Armour on every playing surface, including <a href=\"\/tag\/college-kicks-on-court\/\" target=\"_blank\">College Kicks On Court<\/a>.
