“The team change has my kicks on court all messed up, but I’m back now.” – Derrick Williams

Middle-of-the-season player transactions can be a hindrance in terms of kicks on court, but it seems as if the recent trade to Sacramento has revived Derrick Williams. Last year’s Kicks On Court Champion began this season in a couple of gems here and there but mostly general released product. However, much of it went unnoticed due to playing time.

Williams will see much more court time in his new role with the Kings, so we should definitely be seeing more creativity in regards to his kicks on court. In last night’s 31-point performance against the Mavericks, Williams wore the “Flint Grey” Air Jordan 7, a shoe that released in the spring of 2006. These particular 7s, which feature multiple Varsity Purple hints, proved to be a perfect fit with the Kings’ Home uniforms.
