Collection Summary

“My infatuation with my shoes goes back as early as my childhood, more than 25 years ago. I vividly remember my Mom buying me some Patrick Ewings for my birthday one year. When I got my first job, I was able to start really buying the shoes I wanted; mostly Air Max. I also remember buying the Reebok Questions in about four or five different colorways. As years passed, my collection consisted primarily of Jordans. It wasn’t until this year (2013) that my “collecting” took on a whole new meaning. Nothing special about my collection. No brand loyalty or trend seeking with me. I do seem to gravitate to Jordans and Lebrons, but if I like the shoe I’ll buy it. Because my collection is in its infancy, I don’t really have any rare shoes. I hope one day that will change! Rock what you like!”

Collection Starter:Air Jordan 17 (2002)

“The 17s are the ones that started it all. The $200 price tag made them exclusive and really sparked my interest to start actually collecting.”

Oldest Pair:Air Jordan 11 “Concord” (2000)

“Since my collection is in its infancy, I don’t have too many pairs of old shoes. Hopefully that will change soon, but for now my oldest pair is the 2000 retro of the “Concords”.

Personal Favorite:Air Jordan 13 “Flint” (2010)

“My favorites are the 13s. The navy and white combination is so clean, and the hologram sets them apart.”

Most Frequent Wear:Air Jordan 9 (2002)

“I wear my 2002 Jordan 9s the most. The simple black and white colorway makes these go with anything.”

Most Rare Pair:Nike Air Force Max 20130 “Area 72” (2012)

“These aren’t really rare, and not my rarest pair, but they were the hardest for me to get. When they first released they were hard to get my hands on.”
