Black Friday is the busiest retail shopping day of the year, and it is also one of the busiest shopping days for sneaker enthusiasts. Thanks to Nike, Jordan Brand and a few other retailers, Black Friday has been one of the premier sneaker release days of the calendar year since 2008. While the rest of the world prepares to wait in line for discounted high-dollar items, sneakerheads wait on Black Friday much like they do on many other weekends of the year. We’ve seen numerous camp-worthy Black Friday sneaker drops throughout the years, and we’ve compiled them all here. So, read on and let us know if you copped any of these exclusive releases, and also tell us if you plan on copped (or still plan on copping) any of this year’s Black Friday drops.

Headlining Black Friday releases in 2008 was the DJ Clark Kent x Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme “Black Friday”. Dropping exclusively at 21 Mercer in NYC, Concepts in Boston and Shoe Gallery in Miami, this release was kept under wraps and surprised many sneaker enthusiasts. Jordan Brand also had some surprises up their sleeve, releasing three quickstrike colorways of the Air Jordan XX3.

Air Jordan XX3 QS “Motorsports”

Air Jordan XX3 QS “Chicago Bulls” DJ Clark Kent x Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme I/O “Black Friday” Jordan Brand brought out the heat again for Black Friday 2009 with the release of the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game.” This pair featured the same color blocking as the OGs, but a suede upper and “Flu Game” branding differentiated this pair from its counterparts. DJ Clark Kent and Nike teamed up on another Air Force 1, this time a high-top model, and we also saw two collabs from Concepts and New Balance.

Air Jordan 12 Retro “Flu Game” DJ Clark Kent x Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme LE “NYC” Concepts x New Balance x Freedom Trail 1500 Concepts x New Balance x Freedom Trail 875 By 2010, Black Friday sneaker releases were in full swing, as we saw multiple drops from Jordan Brand as well as Nike. Releasing in limited quantities, the Air Jordan 7 Premio “Bin 23” was the gem of 2010’s releases, but if sneaker lovers couldn’t get your hands on a pair, the reissue of the Air Jordan 13 “Flint” surely didn’t leave many disappointed. Nike also did not disappoint with the release of the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection, a DeLorean-inspired Dunk, and, of course, an Air Force 1. Another New Balance collab was also in the mix, along with another collab from UNDFTD and Converse.

Air Jordan 7 Premio “Bin 23” Air Jordan 13 Retro “Flint” Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Max DeLorean Motor Company x Nike Dunk SE 6.0 Nike Air Force 1 LE “Doernbecher” Nike SB P-Rod 2.5 “Doernbecher” Nike Air Zenyth “Doernbecher” Nike Free Run+ 2 “Doernbecher” Burn Rubber x New Balance MT580BR UNDFTD x Converse Poorman Weapon Kicking off 2011’s Black Friday releases was the return of the Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement, returning after a decade long hiatus. Nike also had a couple of quickstrikes lined up, including a 21 Mercer exclusive as well as a more obtainable variation of the Nike Dunk Low SB “Entourage.” UNDFTD and Converse were in the mix again, dropping a pack consisting of two sneakers that included a bag.

Air Jordan 3 Retro “Black Cement” Nike Air Huarache BBall 2012 QS (21 Mercer Exclusive) Nike Total Air Foamposite Max Nike Dunk Low Premium SB QS “Nontourage” UNDFTD x Converse Ballistic Capsule Collection For Black Friday 2012, Jordan Brand had yet another Black/Cement Retro in store, but this time on the Air Jordan 4 silhouette. 21 Mercer received another exclusive Nike release with the Air Force 1 Posite Max, which would eventually release a month later at additional Nike retailers. Boston’s Concepts dropped a highly anticipated Dunk in collaboration with Nike SB, and Ronnie Fieg teamed up with Puma for an exclusive release of one of Puma’s OG models.

Air Jordan 4 Retro Black/Red Nike Air Force 1 Posite FL Max QS Nike Air Max Flyposite NRG “Megatron” Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High Pro “When Pigs Fly”

Ronnie Fieg x Puma Disc Blaze OG “Cove” Black Friday 2013 has been one for the record books, with a wide array of sneaker releases hitting shelves and, likely, setting records. The Air Jordan 5 “Oreo” proved one of the most popular releases of the day, but Ronnie Fieg’s latest New Balance collaboration is also one of 2013’s standouts.
