Collection Summary

“I’ve been collecting sneakers for about 10 years. What really got me addicted was in high school when my cousins from Cali, Hacienda Heights area at the time, took me to a Dunk Xchange. I had never seen anything like it, and after that it was a wrap. I copped five pairs that day: three pair of Air Force 1s and two retro 10s. To this day, I still have these super limited “Mr. Cartoons” Laser Air Forces with a map of LA on them. I have always just copped what I like, whether it be a pair of Jordans or a pair of SBs. If they look nice, I’m going to rock it. I like to keep a variety.”

Most Rare Pair: Air Jordan 6 “Doernbecher” (2009)

“These DB 6s, to me, are my most rare pair. Not a lot of people were able to cop. I remember it like it was yesterday; those were the good days when Denver still had a NikeTown and you showed up at 6 a.m. to get a wristband. If you had a wristband, you were good to come back at 9 and get your shoes. ”

Personal Favorite: BAPE x UNDFTD adidas ZX 5000 (2012)

“I have to say at the moment these ZX 5000 adidas x UNDFTD x BAPE are my favorite pair to rock around the city. They go with anything, and they’re super comfy. I got them for a reasonable price, for how limited this shoe is, and it’s not something you see everyday.”

Collection Starter: Air Jordan 11 “Concord” (1995)

“The shoe that started it all for me is the “Concord” 11s, without a doubt these are what got me into collecting sneakers. From when my parents bought me my first pair in 1995, when I was too young to ever know. I now have four pairs in my collection, including my recently added DMP’s. Those are my holy grails. I was able to cop at the Denver DXC, and my collection wouldn’t be complete without them.”

Oldest Pair: Air Jordan 10 “Steel” (1994)

“These OG “Steel Grey” 10s from 1994 are my oldest pair, but they’re in amazing condition. Only worn one time to the DXC Denver. I had to do it.”

Most Frequent Wear: Air Jordan 3

“The Jordan 3 is such a classic, and one of my favorite pairs. Definitely a game changer in the sneaker world. I wear these “Fire Reds” from 06 more than any other sneakers on the daily.”

Post a picture of your collection as a whole on Instagram, with the hashtag #communitycollections, for a chance to be featured on Snkrs Day’ next edition of Community Collections.

Community Collections goes Mile High this week with a sneaker enthusiast from Denver.
