Expect the unexpected this season.

Last night, the 2013-2014 NBA season tipped off with three games on the schedule. The headlining game – a matchup between Miami and Chicago – was deemed a must-watch even before the starting lineups were announced, and from a kicks on court standpoint, it didn’t disappoint. Ray Allen undoubtedly had the surprise of the night by breaking out a commemorative Air Jordan 11 “Two Rings” PE, which pays tribute to Allen’s second ring. The previously mentioned 11 favors the shoe Allen wore on Opening Night of Boston’s 2009-2010 season.

In addition, King James took to the court in a never-before-seen, red and gold Nike LeBron 11 for ring day, Norris Cole debuted the “Thermal Map” Foams on court and Dwyane Wade laced up an outlandish colorway of his latest signature shoe, the Li-Ning Way of Wade 2. As for other games, 2012’s Kicks On Court Champion Nick Young lit up the court in a special pair of 4s, while Arron Affalo became the first player to wear the adidas Crazy Light 3 on court.
