We already know the Nick Youngs, the JR Smiths and the Nate Robinsons of the Kicks On Court world will forever bring an abundance of rare and intriguing sneakers to the court. But we seem to discover a new flock of players that demand attention with certain shoes on court each year. If you recall, we’re only a year removed from Derrick Williams, DeMar DeRozan and Damian Lillard bursting onto the scene with creative takes in regards to the kicks on court they wear.

With this summer’s transactions and preseason notables in mind, we take a look at 5 Fresh Feet to Watch this Season.

Position: Guard Why you should pay attention: Jared Cunningham has been flying under the radar since he entered the NBA. Having played with the Dallas Mavericks in limited action last year, the 22-year-old never really got a chance to showcase his footwear. However, his increased playing time with the Hawks may have him in the running for the crown this season. Following his Media Day wear of the “Infrared” 6s, we also spotted him in other recently released sneakers during scrimmages against Dallas, San Antonio and Miami.

Position: Forward Why you should pay attention: Quincy Miller has been the talk of the preseason in regards to Kicks On Court. Wears, such as the “Tokyo” Air Jordan 5, and a never-before-seen Nike Hyperposite, have caught the attention of many. The Nuggets will already be a team to watch, with Nate Robinson and Ty Lawson in the fold, but don’t be surprised if Quincy outshines everyone on the team this season.

Position: Forward/Center Why you should pay attention: Andre Drummond is another player that has impressed during the preseason. After exclusively wearing inline adidas footwear last season, we’ve spotted him in coveted retro Jordans this year and the adidas Gil Zero in Media Day photos. Could Andre Drummond be the first big man to compete for the Kicks On Court crown? Time will tell.

Position: Guard/Forward Why you should pay attention: Terrence Ross may not be as under the radar as other players on this list considering he won the 2013 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, but he still doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. On a team with Rudy Gay and DeMar DeRozan, how could you? With increased playing time and a bigger scoring role on the team, you will know him by the end of the season. His iD LeBrons, Kobes and retro Jordans are top notch.

Position: GuardJared Cunningham – Atlanta Hawks
