In this installment of Kick Chronicles, we asked various readers of the site to pick and detail the one shoe they will never part with. The Snkrs Day staff discussed a few gems they will never part with last week, but now it’s your turn. Check out some of the valuable gems that sneakerheads all across the world will never part with below.

A shoe that I will never part with is something I created for the YourReebok Twitter Contest. Reebok Canada was running a contest where people were given the opportunity to create one of their models The winner would receive the shoe they designed as well as get their name and shoe on the site. I came up with a bunch of different concepts and submitted my entry. I remember waking up, grabbing my phone and seeing I had a tweet from Reebok saying my design won. I was ecstatic. I made the front half of the shoe a reddish nubuck, and the back half a premium black leather with a few panels of black nubuck. I added hits of aqua, a speckled midsole and topped it off with a gum sole. When I got these in the mail they looked even better in person than they did on the site. I will never part with these because of the fact that they are truly a 1 of 1, and I came up with the design.

Twitter: @Laced_Heat/Instagram: Laced_Heat

The one pair of shoes in my closet that I will absolutely never part with are the Grant Hill IIIs. I remember going to the local Weiner’s store and getting my layaway together for when school started. At the time, my mother couldn’t afford to buy me Jordans, so she got me these instead. I was just happy to not have to get shoes from Payless anymore. Growing up, I admired Grant Hill’s game, and his logo was crazy! I was fortunate enough to get the matching shirt and everything. While everyone else was wearing the same shoes, I stood out with something different. They were eventually worn out, and my mom threw them away when I went off to the Navy. A few months ago – while randomly searching eBay – I got extremely lucky and found a deadstock pair! FILA has yet to give these the retro treatment so getting my hands on an OG pair makes the pick up that much more special to me. These shoes played a significant role in my childhood and will never leave my side.

I grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey my whole life, and when Packer Shoes opened up I was in there every day after school. I had a bought a bunch of other great pairs of sneakers there over the years, so when I first heard that they were finally coming out with their very first collaboration with a sneaker brand I had to get them. The day of the release I went to Packer Shoes right after school was over and stood in line for seven hours until they let people in. I was cool with Mike Packer, so I was able to get my name on the list when I got there and secured my pair. Besides these Reeboks being incredibly dope, it’s a honor to be able to own one of the 31 pairs that released. Since Packer Shoes has been part of my life as I grew up and since I’ve been a loyal customer over the years, it’s only right that I hold onto these gems until the end of time.

Twitter: GoodsWrapper/Instagram: goodswrapper The one sneaker that I can honestly say I will never part with is my Jordan Aqua 8s. That shoe means so much to me because it was the last pair of sneakers that my father bought me before he passed away, and the sneaker actually came out the day before my birthday. When I see that sneaker, I think of all the good times my father and I had, and how I used to play with him in our backyard while wearing the sneakers. For that reason alone, I can’t ever see myself parting with this shoe.

Instagram: Septembers_Very_Own23

The one pair of shoes I will never part with is my “Ninetendo Wii” Nike Blazer. During the summer before my Freshman year in high school, I saw them at our local Nike outlet for $29.99. I only had $20 on me, but I was able to convince my little brother to lend me the rest. I coveted that pair of sneakers, putting them on display in my room for weeks before I broke them out. As soon as I started wearing them, I couldn’t stop. I worshipped those shoes and wore them religiously. I wore them all through the harsh Maine winter, and come summertime, they were pretty much destroyed. I didn’t have the good sense to be careful with them (I was just a kid), but the memories made in those sneakers are well worth it. One day, I came home from preseason soccer, and my sweet mother informed me that she had thrown them out. Even though they were disgusting, I was devastated. This sad tale actually has a happy ending. The summer before my freshman year in college, I was browsing eBay looking for a cheap new pickup. I was delighted to find a pair of Nike Blazer Wiis in my size. The starting bid was – you’d better believe it – $29.99. I was the only bidder and won a replacement pair of my favorite sneakers ever. I plan to keep these forever, and hopefully take better care of them. I have to be careful though; if I wear them once, I won’t be able to stop!

Twitter: @RealGrifo/Instagram: RealGrifo

RELATED: Kick Chronicles: The One Shoe We Will Never Part With – Snkrs Day Staff

In this installment of Kick Chronicles, we asked various readers of the site to pick and detail the one shoe they will never part with.
