The cooling temperatures often point to the need to switch up the sneaker rotation, and the news that last week brought certainly featured a shift. We probably should be looking for kicks that are more suited for the weather, but it’s evident that basketball season is on many of our minds. For the seven days passed, these are our Staff Picks.

DJ Clark Kent x Nike LeBron 8 112

“One of the greatest LeBrons to never release. Thank you again to my man, DJ Clark Kent.”

Nike Free Trainer 5.0 “Red River Rivalry”

“All the haters can hate about our Horns this year, but we love them win or lose. These shoes are a must for any UT fan.

#HOOKEM”

Nike Zoom Soldier VII “The Power Couple”

“The Soldier line continues to get better each and every year. Aesthetically, the Soldier VII is my favorite of the group, and I’m really digging this “Power Couple” color scheme.”

Packer Shoes x Reebok Question “For Player Use Only”

“My pick this week is the Packer Shoes x Reebok “For Player Use Only” Pack. Mike Packer is a guy who really understands the history of brands, and this pack is a great example of that. I’m not big on the Kobe’s to be honest, but the LeBron PE is definitely one I’m looking out for.”

Nike LeBron 11 “Gamma Blue”

“While the “Gamma Blue” colorway on this LeBron 11 is eye-catching on its own, what really sets this upcoming LeBron release apart is the color-shifting, tempered steel-inspired Swoosh. I will definitely be looking to add these to my collection.”

Nike LeBron 11 “King’s Pride”

“These are really, really good in person. The colorway is incredible and the design is really forward thinking. While I’ve admired the recent LeBrons more from afar, I need to find some room in rotation and sneaker budget for these. This weekend “The Gloves” have my money, but the LeBron 11 is on my radar from here on out.”

Anta Rondo 1

“Although I’ll miss seeing my favorite player looking slick in low-tops and debuting releases, I’m glad Rajon got his own signature sneaker. I usually only play in low-tops myself, but I wouldn’t be able to resist hooping in a shoe with Rondo ball faking on the tongue. Rondoooooooooooooo!”

Stussy x Nike Trainerendor

“Although we haven’t even seen detailed photos of this collab, I can already tell that I am really feeling them, the green pair in particular. The predominately black upper is contrasted perfectly by the white midsole, and the hints of bright green just really sets the pair off. I’m loving the gradient-speckled Nike Swoosh as well.”

Reebok Shaqnosis “Escape From LA”

“The snakeskin material and the mixture of the Lakers and the Heat colors really make this Shaqnosis stand out from the other colorways. I also like how it resembles the Redbull Formula 1 car.”
