Sneaker collaborations are seemingly being teased, announced and dropped every second these days, but there’s always time to remember and celebrate the monthly best of the best. Check out our ten favorite collabs that released in September 2013 below, and let us know in the comments which pairs you copped, and which ones your still covet.

BAIT has been on a collaborative tear as of late, and the newest sneaker from their creative pairing with ASICS has raised the bar once again. Will October once again bring out the best from BAIT? Rapper-sneaker collabs are nothing new, but the Ice-T set from the Vans Syndicate stood out from the rest. The inclusion of Old English lettering makes these an instant hood classic. Collab with ASICS and their Gel Lyte III, and that’s an automatic win. There’s only one rule: don’t screw it up. Add 1 to HAL’s win column. Denim company meets sneaker company. Surprisingly, on this one, there’s no denim in sight, and frankly, it was a great decision. Can’t hate on an all-white, and of course, a gum outsole does a sneaker good. CNCPTS pulled off the one-up of the year, beating the U.S. Treasury with the drop of the “C-Note.” If you missed out on this release, it’ll cost you at least two C-Notes to correct that mistake. CNCPTS 2; Treasury 0. You knew this collab was bound to happen at some point, and the triple-threat didn’t disappoint. Given A$AP’s penchant for the monochromatic, these should get heavy use in his rotation. Quite an incredible month for CNCPTS. Going with the Gel Lyte III was a smart decision, and they did right by the sneaker. At this point, it’s almost safe to say that they could start their own sneaker line and be just fine. Maison Martin Margiela went for an interesting take of the Converse All-Star. It’s surprising to see a high fashion brand take hold of and simply elevate the inexpensive sneaker, but nonetheless, it was done right. Kudos to Bodega for taking on a collab with the New Balance 577. Doing the most, and at the same time, taking a minimalistic approach with the sneaker, Bodega carefully crafted an impressive colorway. It’s been seven years since CLOT and Nike teamed up on the Air Max 1, and it goes without saying that that duration of time was far too long. Taking a few cues from the product of their last encounter, CLOT went with an updated version of the Air Max 1 for this partnership. We’ll be impatiently waiting for the next time these two meet.

Sneaker collaborations are seemingly being teased, announced and dropped every second these days, but there’s always time to remember and…

[618
1215994,966

2":"type-post

10.
