Unfortunately, my best and worst trade go hand in hand. During this bittersweet moment, I reluctantly exchanged a pair of deadstock Black\/Royal Penny 2s, Motorsport XX3s and $300 for the highly sought-after Yeezy and\u00a0all\u00a0of its black and pink glory. In\u00a0retrospect, I definitely came out on top. On the other hand, the Penny 2 still hasn’t re-released since then, and I’m definitely bitter about that.<\/p>\n

Air Jordan 5 “Toro Bravo” for Air Jordan 3 Black\/Cement<\/h2>\n

My worst sneaker trade is very simple. I needed a bit of cash to finish paying for barber school, so I traded my red “Toro Bravo” 5s for a pair of Black\/Cement 3s and $100. The worst part is that I did it at night and didn’t examine them, so when I got home, the midsoles of the 3s were all cracked!I still regret it to this day.<\/p>\n

I haven’t made many trades for sneakers as of now, but the best one for me was a pair of my “Cavs” 4s for the all-orange EWING 33s. I had bought two pairs of those 4s back in May 2012, but no one seemed to want them. I later on found a friend who was willing to do the trade. Both had similar color schemes, and I felt it was fair both ways.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, I don’t have a worst trade to report.<\/p>\n

Nike LeBron X “Cork” for Nike Zoom Rookie “Galaxy” & Air Jordan 9 “Doernbecher”<\/h2>\n

My best sneaker trade happened when the “Cork” LeBron X released. I bought them for $750 and traded for a deadstock pair of “Galaxy” Rookies and a deadstock pair of “Doernbecher” 9s. It’s one of the best trades of my life.<\/p>\n

I traded some “Stealth” 3s for “Military Blue” 4s. Then, I traded those 4s – which were pretty beat – for some “Taxi” Lebron 6s. Evenutally, those led to the Freegums x Nike Lebron 9 via a trade. All in all, I \u00a0think every trade was worth it considering I got one of my favorites, the Freegums.<\/p>\n

One of the best trades I ever made involved the “Military Blue” retro 4s and the Adidas D Rose 3s. A friend of mine was in desperate need of a pair of hooping shoes, and in the spur of the moment offered this trade proposal of his 4s for my D Rose 3s. I was so surprised by the offer, so I tried to keep my excitement contained and casually said, “We can make that happen.” Long story short, I came across a steal.<\/p>\n
