As you may have heard, LeBron James and Savannah Brinson tied the knot over the weekend. While this special ceremony was celebrated with family and friends, Nike has celebrated many of LeBron’s basketball moments with commemorative kicks. With that in mind, we take a look back at some of LeBron’s best celebratory sneakers and even cook up a colorway to celebrate his wedding. Congrats, Bron.

Both LeBron James and his shoe line were special from the start. Nike knew that, and released a very limited edition colorway of the Nike Air Zoom Generation to celebrate his home opener in the NBA.

LeBron James was practically built for the All-Star Game. Capable of creating any highlight on either side of the ball, LeBron jumped into the starting lineup in only his second year of NBA action. Nike celebrated this accolade for the first of many times with a themed version of the Nike Zoom LeBron II. As you can see, many more appearances and sneakers followed.

image via The Heat Check
photo via charlespokerface360

Most 21st birthdays involve a trip to the local bar with some buddies, only to be followed up with a headache and an upset stomach. If you’re LeBron James, you do it a bit bigger. LeBron rented out the House of Blues in Cleveland, treating family, friends, teammates, fans and Cleveland VIPs to quite the party. LeBron performed on stage with Lil Wayne during the bash to the tune of 1,000 attendees. Tickets ranged from $50 to $300 and all proceeds went to charity. While the Zoom LeBron III “B-Day” theme serves as a standout, its predecessor and successors were also sweet.

LeBron James celebrated Christmas on the hardwood with his first signature shoe, the Nike Air Zoom Generation. For his very popular seventh shoe, LeBron and Nike gave a gift to the fans by releasing this festive colorway. LeBron’s later models would follow suit, serving as standouts in his signature series.

LeBron’s move to Miami wasn’t a popular one at the time, but three trips to the NBA Finals, two championship rings and two MVP trophies suggest it was a good one. The Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach” celebrated the new city and made LeBrons a campout worthy kick and off-court staple.

Not only did the Nike LeBron X “What the MVP” celebrate another banner year on the basketball court, it also celebrated the numerous successful colorways of his tenth signature shoe.

LeBron James has had a lot to celebrate over the course of his career, but winning an NBA Championship was, by most accounts, the biggest accolade. Celebratory versions of the models he wore en route to his ring in the regular season and postseason were released in tandem in very limited numbers. His second championship ring was celebrated in similar fashion, seeing two shoes, one box and very limited availability.

LeBron’s then-fiancee and now wife, Savannah Brinson, received a special edition of the Nike LeBron 9 celebrating their engagement. We cooked up this colorway for the wedding…

Once again, congrats to LeBron and Savannah on their marriage. Let us know your favorite celebratory sneaker from the LeBron series and let us know if you’d rock this proposed makeup in the comment section.

First Game

photo via SI Vault
