The Nike Hyperposite is undeniably one of the most underrated shoes of the season. Around this time last year, sample photos of this ‘Fuse-posite silhouette began to surface and since then, we’ve seen a few general releases and a number of player exclusives that have garnered our interest. Fresh off of yesterday’s “Raspberry Red” Hyperposite, we take a look at 12 Nike Hyperposites We’d Like to See Release.

Let us know which Hyperposite you’d like to see release by selecting your favorite pair in the voting poll below.

Arguably the most talked about Hyperposite player exclusive of the season, Rajon Rondo’s “Atomic Green” PE turned heads when he debuted them in a nationally televised game against the New York Knicks this past season. Don’t lose hope on this shoe releasing – seeing that Nike brought his Christmas PE to the shelves two months ago – but chances are this insanely loud Hyperposite will remain a size 13 player exclusive just for him.

Along with Rajon Rondo, Rudy Gay was one of the biggest fans of the Hyperposite last season. His spent the majority of his last days in Memphis wearing this player exclusive, which features a color combination of turquoise, blue and yellow. Why do we want a chance at these? The gradient-like, pearlized upper makes this a standout from all the other Hyperposites on this list. The general released Kobe 8, KD V and the LeBron X for Black History Month were impeccable, but it’s just something about being captivated by what you seemingly can’t get. On MLK Day 2013, various players laced up Black History Month player exclusive versions of the Hyperdunk 2012 and the Hyperposite. Don’t expect neither one of these to release to the public – Nike has no reason to release a Black History Month shoe seven months after February – but a limited release of these, alongside with the aforementioned trifecta, would have been welcomed.

LaMarcus Aldridge’s player exclusive game has always been fascinating, yet this “Area 72” Hyperposite PE may be one of his most memorable. If you recall, he wore this black-based Hyperposite in the 2013 NBA All-Star Game this past February. A galaxy-like, blue starry pattern covers the midfoot and collar area, while a rigid, solar red take on the Nike branding adds flair. Also, peep the gradient-like take on the 360-degree Air Max unit.

LaMarcus Aldridge wasn’t the only player gifted with an “Area 72” PE. A Space Program player exclusive was created for Rudy Gay last February although he didn’t make the All-Star team this past season; a lot of us didn’t, so where are our pairs? This particular PE may be even better than the former with its silver base and speckled outsole.

Players like Rajon Rondo, LaMarcus Aldridge and Rudy Gay receive consistent praise for their respective Hyperposite PEs, but Warriors power forward David Lee was also a steady wearer of the Hyperposite when healthy. Golden State’s color scheme translated very well onto the Hyperposite, especially on the “Away” version, which features a blaring yellow and black base with blue hints. One of LaMarcus Aldridge’s player exclusives makes this list again. The all-metallic silver base is an eye-opener to begin with, and the crimson accents compliment it nicely. This Hyperposite is very reminiscent of the silver LeBron X that King James wore against Cleveland, another shoe we’d like to see on shelves one day.

We don’t know how Rajon Rondo would’ve pulled this off on court without getting fined. That said, others can make use of it. The color scheme is very reminiscent of Kevin Garnett’s “USA” Flightposite II, and we dig the gold speckled outsole that connects perfectly with the base. Rajon Rondo’s “Christmas” Hyperposite seems to get all of the attention, but Chris Bosh’s “Christmas” PE was just as hot. The two shades of red, mixed with a volt, 360-degree Air Max unit is a scheme we don’t usually see.

Yet another “Area 72” makeup earns a spot on our list. The fiery orange elements against the grey base makes for one of the most unique Hyperposite color schemes we’ve seen. Other intriguing and uncommon factors include the gradient, crackled midsole and the crackled graphic along the midfoot and collar.

When is Black/Red not accepted? LaMarcus Aldridge’s “Away” Hyperposite PE is the perfect mix; classic in color and futuristic in construction. The silver hints and 360-degree Air Max unit of the same color add nice, subtle touches to this Trail Blazers-esque Hyperposite.

About a year ago, this “Think Pink” sample surfaced on the web. A year later, it’s still one of the best colorway of the Hyperposite we’ve seen. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so bring this shoe to the shelves, please Nike.

[polldaddy poll=7398374]

Honorable Mentions: 5. Nike Hyperposite Chris Bosh “Finals” PE – Nike created a special makeup for Chris Bosh during the Finals. White, gold and black proved to be a simple yet stylish take on the Hyperposite.

The Nike Hyperposite is undeniably one of the most underrated shoes of the season.
1. Nike Hyperposite “Tournament of Champions” PE – This is another silver-based colorway we like, but we’ve seen the silver/electric green color scheme too many times on other Nike silhouettes.

2. Nike Hyperposite David West “Away” PE – Much like Rudy Gay’s Memphis Grizzlies PE, David West’s custom pair features a gradient effect. If we had to pick one, Rudy’s player exclusive wins.

3. Nike Hyperposite Anthony Davis “Away” PE – Anthony Davis owns arguably the loudest Hyperposite player exclusive ever created. You can’t miss the Teal-colored base with hints of yellow and black. It may be too loud.

4. Nike Hyperposite Rudy Gay All-Red PE – This is a Legends of the summer-type color scheme on the Hyperposite. Although very nice, we’ve seen better in regards to Rudy’s PEs.
