The 2013 College Football season kicks off tonight and despite last year’s winner being in the race, the competition for the Heisman Trophy<\/strong> is wide open. ESPN<\/a> predicts that this year South Carolina standout Jadeveon Clowney<\/strong> will become only the second defensive player in history to win the award, with the reigning champion Johnny Manziel<\/strong> coming in third. Each of the top Heisman hopefuls have skills, but many of them also have sneakers. When college football players aren’t on the gridiron, they often turn into basketball players; at least by the shoes on their feet. Suspended for the first half of the opener against Rice, Manziel has been in the public eye all off-season. Jadeveon Clowney<\/strong> is a freak. At 6-8, 275 pounds, the defensive monster from South Carolina has the ability to impact a game just as much as anyone else.
