Nike Terminator Hi Premium “Grunge” Series<\/h2>\n

The Terminators via the “Grunge” Series came out in 2004 and once I saw them, I had to have them. I finally found them, but I also spotted some JD Sports Air Force 1s at the same time. I figured the Air Force 1s would be harder to find again since they were a Europe exclusive, so I went with those. Since then, every time I come across the Terminators, the price is too much or the condition is terrible. I actually bought them once on eBay, but the seller flaked.<\/p>\n

Nike Air More Uptempo “Olympic”<\/h2>\n

It was about a year ago when I got hired at Finish Line and started to really get into the shoe game. We had a re-release of the “Olympic” Air More Uptempo on my first day, but I didn’t think much of the shoe. $160 for a shoe was a little bit too much in my opinion, but I decided I would get them the next time I work. I arrived at work the next day, and they were sold out. Now, I see them on eBay for way too much. It’s nothing but regret.<\/p>\n

Back when the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Chlorophyll” dropped, I had a chance to grab them for a little over retail. Also, I remember eBay was flooded with a number of sizes for $200-$250. At the same time, I just had my first kid and wasn’t sure if I’d be able to handle the cost of the shoe with my kid coming soon. My wife told me to get them if I really wanted them and that we would be fine, but I wasn’t sure so I passed. Now, I can’t find them on eBay at a decent price; they now sell for around $700-$1000. I am not willing to support resellers that rip off true collectors, so I will probably never own these.<\/p>\n

The Air Jordan 11 is one of my favorite silhouettes. One day, I visited my local Foot Locker and saw a pair of these in an 8.5, which was my size at the time. I wanted them, but I didn’t have any money on me at the time. I left the store for like 30 minutes to go get my money, but when I came back, they were gone. It still hurts whenever someone talks about the Space Jams to this day.<\/p>\n

I’m from Malaysia, and it’s very hard to get some of the hottest releases from our local outlets. I made plans to get the “Scoring Title” KD IV from here, but all the Hong Kong Nike retailers either sold out or didn’t have my size. I stumbled upon this random shop located at the back alley of Fa Yuen Street, which is the infamous ‘Sneaker Street’ here. They had full size runs of every rare KD but at ridiculous prices. I wasn’t going to waste all my money on a reseller=priced pair, so I gave up.<\/p>\n

Air Jordan 1 “Alpha”<\/h2>\n

First off, I’m a size 15, and it’s impossible to find good shoes in my size. Usually, when I do, it’s either the best deal ever or the most expensive shoe on the market. I found these “Alpha” 1s on Flight Club about four years ago for $100! I ordered the shoes and received my confirmation about them sending them, but I later find out that I had typed in an incorrect billing address so the shoes never came. After a week, I finally called and they notified me of the incorrect address and that the shoes sold a couple hours ago. It was the worst feeling in the world.<\/p>\n

Air Jordan 8 “Peapod”<\/h2>\n

I thought these were the ugliest Air Jordan 8 ever when they came out in 2007, but with the slew of new team colorways and me being a Detroit Tigers fan, I regret passing up on these. I had a chance to get a deadstock pair on eBay a few months ago, but I wasn’t a fan of the dreaded paint cracking on that pair. Not liking it initially will forever haunt my pursuits in finding a truly deadstock pair.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
