Following a fractured ankle that cause him to miss the first 91 games of the season, New York Yankees shortshop Derek Jeter returned to the lineup Thursday as the Yanks took on the Royals. Entering the game second in the lineup as the team’s designated hitter, the 13x All-Star hit an infield single in his first at bat while wearing the Jordan Jeter Legend Elite. With a record barely inching over the .500 mark, Yankee fans are surely thrilled to have their captain back leading the squad.

The weekend also brought us the beginning of 2013 All-Star festivities, such as the Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. Participating in this year’s matchup were comedian Kevin James, professional softball pitcher Jennie Finch, singer Ashanti and more.
