For example, Nate Robinson wore 22 different Air Jordans, and they were all retro releases. On the contrary, Clippers forward Blake Griffin wore Jordan Brand\u2019s latest product, such as the Super.Fly 2 and the Aero Flight, throughout the entire season. Monta Ellis, however, blended the new with the old in the 2012-2013 NBA season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou guys really need to go check out Monta Ellis\u2019 sneaker closet,\u201d said former San Antonio Spur Stephen Jackson, also a former teammate and close friend of Monta Ellis. \u201cThat guy has all kinds of Jordans \u2013 new and old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s begin with the old. On the retro front, Ellis rocked models that we&#8217;ve consistently seen on the feet other Kicks On Court Champion nominees, such as the \u201cHe Got Game\u201d Air Jordan 13, the \u201cRaptor\u201d Air Jordan 7 and the Air Jordan 12 White\/Red, but we also spotted him in retros that were not seen worn by anybody else this season. Sneakers, such as the Air Jordan 6 White\/Infrared and the original colorway of Michael Jordan\u2019s second signature shoe, were seen on Monta\u2019s feet and Monta\u2019s feet only this season. He also took to the court in two of the three Air Jordan 2 colorways that made up the Candy Pack release of 2010.<\/p>\n<p>As far as the \u2018new,\u2019 Ellis was sometimes spotted in the most talked-about Jordan silhouette of this season, the Air Jordan XX8. On multiple occasions, we noticed him in both the \u201cRed Camo\u201d and \u201cGreen Camo\u201d Air Jordan XX8s. Though not as popular, Ellis also rocked two colorways of the Air Jordan 1 TXT. Yet, his most notable \u2018new\u2019 wears, at least to us, came in the form of him wearing the later Air Jordan signature models that people often forget about. While most players exclusively laced up colorways of Air Jordans 1-14, Ellis added a few colorways of the Air Jordan XVI, the Air Jordan XVII and the Air Jordan XIX to his lineup this season.<\/p>\n<p>And then there\u2019s his Spizikes.<\/p>\n<p>Monta not only laced up a plethora of Jordan Spizike iDs, but he also sported two of the most classic and famed Spizikes ever created. The \u201cCactus\u201d Spizike is undoubtedly considered one of the jewels of the Spizike collection, and the Gucci-esque Black\/True Red-Classic Green colorway is definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to Mars\u2019 kicks.<\/p>\n<p>Check out how Monta Ellis fared in our five departments of Kicks On Court Champion voting. Also, the Air Jordan XIX rarely ever sees daylight on the hardwood, so we must give Monta a nice amount of points in this category.<br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n Air Jordan 5 &#8220;3M&#8221;\n Air Jordan XVI Black\/Varsity Red\n Air Jordan XIX Stealth Black\/Varsity Red\n Air Jordan XVII White\/Varsity Red\n<p><strong>Top <em>Closet Appeal<\/em> Wears<\/strong>:<br \/>\n1. Air Jordan XIX White\/Varsity Red-Metallic Silver<br \/>\n2. Air Jordan 5 &#8220;3M&#8221;<br \/>\n3. Air Jordan XVII White\/Varsity Red<br \/>\n4. Air Jordan XIX Stealth Black\/Varsity Red<\/p>\n<p>As Stephen Jackson stated, it\u2019s obvious that Ellis owns a lineage of Air Jordans in his closet. This season, Ellis wore shoes dating all the way back to the summers of 2002 and 2004 with wears of the Air Jordan XVII White\/Varisty Red-Charcoal and the Air Jordan XIX White\/Varsity Red-Metallic Silver, respectively. His grey, purple and green Spizike looks like it could\u2019ve been a part of Jordan Brand\u2019s &#8220;Joker&#8221; collection, and his Dunkman-esque black and green pair wasn\u2019t too shabby either.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n Jordan Spizike Black\/Red-Classic Green\n Jordan Son of Mars\n<p><strong>Top <em>Sneaker Debut<\/em> Wears<\/strong>:<br \/>\n1. Jordan Spizike Black\/Varsity Red-Classic Green<br \/>\n2. Jordan Son of Mars<\/p>\n<p>It seems as if everything leads back to Ellis\u2019 Spizikes. Although more than five years old, we\u2019ve never seen the Black\/Red-Classic Green Spizikes on court, and Ellis was the first to rock the Son of Mars on the hardwood as well. As mentioned earlier, he wore Jordans from 2004 and Jordan Brand\u2019s latest creatins.
