What a week it has been for sneakers, and what a weekend for sneaker releases. With all of the sneaker topics that have made headlines, how could our Snkrs Day Staff Picks narrow their choices to one for each individual? Check out our picks below, and let us know if you agree or disagree.

Brittany Shelton

I’ve never played tennis on a grass court, but these Vapor 9 Tours seem reason enough to start. Subdued yet endowed with just enough flash thanks to hits of green and pure platinum, these tennis shoes are definite winners.

Nike WMNS Zoom Vapor 9 Tour “Pure Platinum”

My staff pick this week is from the recent collaboration between Nike and Size?, particularly the Air Max Lights, which take inspirations from the Air Mowabb, Lava High, and Safari. They did an excellent job with the color blocking, but I also appreciate the restraint in using the Safari pattern. It’s a nice touch. If you can get over the exchange rate, these are definitely great sneakers for the summer.

Size? x Nike Urban Safari Pack Air Max Light

For starters, almost any Air Force 1 with a gum sole is a winner in my book. However, it’s the “Artic Green” upper that really set this pair apart. Too clean.

Nike Air Force 1 “Arctic Green” Between these and the “Viotech” Dunks, I really like the early 2000’s flavor coming from Nike and the other brands. Can’t say I’d drop $190 for the amount of novelty wear I’d get out of these, but I’m excited to see what’s next from NIKEiD and the AF1.

Nike Air Force 1 Invisible Options on NikeiD I wasn’t all in on the LeBron X “Cork”, but the customs it has inspired have been dope. This Roshe Run by AMAC Customs is crazy! Is it wearable? I don’t know, but it’s aesthetically dope. These would be a welcome addition to the collection if they ever dropped.

Nike Roshe Run “Cork” Custom

Clean, subtle, all-black, ballistic nylon, copped.

Vans Authentic “Ballistic” Black

What a week it has been for sneakers, and what a weekend for sneaker releases.
