Before the re-release of the “Grape” Jordan 5 even had a chance to turn into fine wine, Jordan Brand dropped a remixed version of the iconic sneaker in the form of the “Black Grapes”. Needless to say, the colorway was well-received, but left the door open for the possibility of other OG colorways of models in the Air Jordan line to get the blackout treatment. With that being said, we’ve done some creative exploring with a few predominantly white silhouettes that wouldn’t look bad dressed in black. Check out the series and cast your vote on which blacked out Air Jordan you’d like to be released.

Release a Jordan 7, and it’ll sell out. The same typically goes for Jordans released in a black and red colorway. Put the two together, and well, you know what to expect.
For many, the Jordan 10 isn’t among their favorites, arguably due to the fact that it hasn’t received a dapper predominantly black colorway. Nevertheless, this is an easy fix. Switch the upper of the “Chicago” 10 to tumbled black leather, and it’s a winner.
“Laney” 5 appearances are few and far between, but when they do see the light of day, the reception is overwhelming. So, we assume that any drop featuring the classic colors would be a hit, a black-based variation included.
The Jordan 2 stands as the model retroed in the fewest colorways, and frankly, it’s disappointing. Black/Red colorways have always been well-received, and in this case, the Jordan 2 is long overdue.
It’s been 7 years, but the true “Fire Red” 5 is back. Since the colorway seems to be on the same schedule and roadmap as the “Grape” 5, it only makes sense to black this one out too. With a black suede upper, the 5 would finally get a true “Bred” colorway. We like the nickname “Black Fire.”
You could say the Jordan 3 is the best ever in the line and not receive too much backlash for such a statement. Give one of the most beloved colorways a black upper, and let the love fest begin.
The white and black colorway of the Jordan 12 was dubbed the “Taxi” 12. Switch out the white upper for a black base, schedule an exclusive release in London, and call it the “Black Cab” 12.

Base images for photoshops sourced from Nike.com

[poll id=”13″]

Before the re-release of the “Grape” Jordan 5 even had a chance to turn into fine wine, Jordan Brand dropped a remixed version of the iconic sneaker in the form of the “Black Grape”.
