In 1998, the Air Jordan 7 \u201cMiro\u201d released in limited quantities. The shoe is still the object of desire for many sneaker enthusiasts, but many don\u2019t know the actual story behind the shoe\u2019s nickname. Yes, it was inspired by the colors of the Olympic games, but dig a bit deeper and you will find that Spanish aritist Joan Mir\u00f3 was also honored by the painted motif. Mir\u00f3 died months before Michael Jordan and his USA team took the gold medal at the 1984 Olympics. Jordan laced up the Air Jordan 7 during his second gold medal run with the 1992 Dream Team in Mir\u00f3\u2019s hometown of Barcelona. As a nod to both legends, the special edition Air Jordan 7 was born.

Supreme x Vans “Power, Corruption, & Lies” Collection<\/h2>\n
Supreme and Vans linked up to produce a pack of sneakers that featured an overall floral motif. The Supreme x Vans \u201cPower, Corruption, & Lies\u201d Pack was inspired by the cover artwork for New Order\u2019s album of the same name. Even further, that album was designed by English art director Peter Saville, and contains portions of a Henry Fantin-Latour painting named \u201cA Basket of Roses.\u201d

The CNCPTS x New Balance 999 “The Kennedy” was a major nod to the nautical culture of the Boston, Massachusetts area. However, the nickname itself speaks to the Kennedys’ time spent in the area.
