Last week I switched it up a bit to incorporate more than just appearance into the column, because as most of us know there is so much more to sneakers then just the looks.<\/p>\n
They say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but as can be seen in this week’s The Good, The Bad, and The Fugly<\/strong>, if you do it wrong, it’s not flattering anyone. Also, what’s up with using tired styles over and over again? At least we have the McFly Hypermax to look forward to, but the rest of this week’s options were kind of depressing.<\/p>\n Take a look at this weeks choices by clicking here.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Good<\/strong><\/p>\n \n The more we see of the Nike Hypermax McFly<\/strong>, the more it seems t grow on me. After seeing the glow-in-the-dark photos, these have once again stepped up another notch on the watch list. Judging by the comment section, most of you seem to feel the same.<\/p>\n For detailed photos click here.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Bad<\/strong><\/p>\n \n The Nike Dynasty Retro that will be hitting stores this upcoming holiday season is nice and simple silhouette, so why would it be the bad this week?<\/p>\n It seems the market is flooded with “simple” silhouettes from Nike. Yeah, the Dynasty is a little different from the Dunk, the Vandal, the Big Nike, the Terminator, the Jordan 1 Strap, etc., but how many people need another retro silhouette like this? It seems like there are plenty of other retros that could have been chosen. Or am I just being picky?<\/p>\n What’s next? Nike taking classic silhouettes and adding a plain, vulcanized sole to make them look simpler? Unfortunately, yes.<\/p>\n Check out these shoes by clicking here.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Fugly<\/strong><\/p>\n \n We’ve seen nearly every company take their shot at imitating the popular Elephant Print that was made famous by Nike in the early 90’s. These Asics are the latest, ironically I am wearing GEL Lyte III’s as I write this, so you know this silhouette is right up my alley, but the combination of colors and the attempt at duplicating Elephant Print is weak. The Elephant Print trend is being beaten to death, not only by the original, but by imitators trying to make it work.
