Even if February is the shortest month of the year, you can count on Snkrs Day to bring you another stocked Custom Countdown. This month?s edition may not feature as many kicks as those in the past, but there are still a lot of heavy hitters for that could vie for best of the year. While custom mastermind Mache may not make an appearance, there are others that offer some great artwork in Custom Countdown: The Best Custom Sneakers of February.

A tradition since 2010, Rich Eisen has regularly run the 40 at the combine. Granted, he may not be as fast as the other athletes, but he has some fly custom kicks this time around from Under Armour. Sporting the Air Jordan 7 “Olympic Gold Medal” motif just like the one on Chris Paul’s pair, this custom celebrates Olympic gold in the best possible way. The black and gold mixture on this Foamposite really brings out the potential in the sneaker. Sporting colors similar to the New Orleans Saints, there would be no surprise if Nike were to make an NFL team collection. Made to represent Blake Griffin’s dunking ferocity, this Air Max2 CB ’94 brings the accents of the Clippers while sporting the silhouette of one of the greatest. The Nike Air Foamposite One “Oregon State” brings out the true skill JP possess. Painting the iconic Nike silhouette in a Corvallis-themed orange with Beaver branding, this custom reminds people that there are other universities in Oregon. Made to celebrate the release of Ninth Inning, a Houston-based clothing brand, Dank Customs brings out the best of Ninth Inning and puts it on an iconic low-cut sneaker. Sole Swap makes Ducks fans proud with their own rendition of the “Oregon” Air Zoom Turf Jet ’97. The mixture of kelly green and yellow accents accompanied with Oregon branding make this pair one of the best customs we’ve seen. The snow leopard may be an endangered species, but Ecentrik showcases the beauty of the feline on an Air Jordan 1. The retro sneaker features paint designed after the fur of the snow leopard complimented by a snow-blue swoosh. A sequel to the original “Python” Custom, JBF made sure it counted. The “Royal Python” Air Jordan 1 Custom is considered by some as better than the original due to the royal and black combination. Is the ParaNorman trend getting old when it comes to sneakers? Some may think so, but GourmetKickz brings texture to glow-in-the-dark accents to bring out the flames on the Total Air Foamposite Max that keep the trend burning. It’s all about the “U” with these custom Air Zoom Turf Jets from Sole Swap. The mixture of orange and green accents is usually an unbearable sight, but on these kicks its a match made in Coral Gables. JP puts in work painting a pair of Nike KD Vs in the style of Lady Liberty. Looking very similar to the Hyperposite that came out in 2012, we wonder why this color scheme isn’t used on other sneakers? The Superman film series may need a reboot, but these custom kicks certainly don’t. GourmetKickz brings out the best and worst of the “Man of Steel” by showcasing his iconic outfit and using a green accent to highlight his weakness, Kryptonite. Zoom, zoom, zoom, these “Bang Zoom” Zoom Rookies made our eyes go boom boom when we saw the Super Nova-bright shoe in the dark. The space rock designed paneling with 3M accents certainly make this shine during the day or night. Ancient Japanese culture meets west coast design on the Air Jordan 4 “Samurai” Custom. El Cappy put so much detail into the sneaker, from the samurai-inspired designs across the base to the mask on the heel, that this is easily the best custom sneaker from the month of February.

[96
1225808,1225512

2":"type-post

Rich Eisen’s Combine 40 “Chameleon” by Under Armour
