Substance abuse is something that deeply affects families, friends, and entire communities. While we often jokingly speak of an addiction to sneakers, addiction to drugs and alcohol is nothing to laugh about. <\/p>\n
Project Purple came about as former NBA player Chris Herren<\/strong> was speaking about how drugs and alcohol affected his life to high schoolers. Today marks the last day of the first campaign of Project Purple. Chris’ story is something that is hard to tell in one post, one book, or even one ESPN 30 for 30 documentary, but something that can be done with ease is to spread the word amongst your peers, co-workers, and friends of Project Purple.<\/p>\n
