Even after just the first full week of the new year, 2013 has brought us a lot of great sneakers. The Snkrs Day Staff Picks?this week include almost every brand out there. Look through and let us know what your pick is from the past seven days.

Karlton Johnson

My mouth dropped as soon as I saw this custom. The snake skin colors and texture on these will for sure make these shoes the perfect accent to any outfit. JBF FTW!

Air Jordan 1 “Python” Custom I’m beginning to sound like a broken record, but I can’t resist picking an Oregon shoe, PE or otherwise. A dunking Duck?!? YES.

Air Jordan 4 “Oregon Duckman” PE Tough call between these and the ?Grape? 5s. Growing up, the Foamposite One was always my favorite sneaker. With that said, I don?t think I?ve picked up a pair of Foams in the last five years. While I?m more likely to actually by the AJs, this ?Suns? colorway is just incredible. It?s fun, it has a real story, and they block well. Hat tip to NSW on keeping this model fresh.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Phoenix Suns” Under my skin, my blood is blue, but when it’s exposed to oxygen, I bleed burnt orange.

Nike KD V “Texas” PE New Balance had a crazy 2012. I don’t see 2013 being any different. This shoe is simple and easy to wear, but stylish enough to dress up a little. It is a very ill sneaker.

New Balance 1500 Blue/Navy I’ll admit, I’m not the biggest fan of the Gel Lyte III because of the split tongue, but the Slam Jam Gel Lyte III looks great. I love the lemon-lime color palette, which will be perfect for the Texas spring. The grey midsole is a really nice complement to the bright colors and the laces really set off the whole shoe.

Slam Jam x ASICS Gel Lyte III Herschel Supply Co. x New Balance 420 Red

I’m with my coworker TeeJay, New Balance is killing it right now. Look for them to have a bigger 2013 than any other brand, including the ones in the pacific northwest. The sneaker itself boasts a crowd-favorite, all-red silhouette with an attractive sockliner design. It’s great to see two leaders in quality come together for what is sure to be one of the biggest collaborations of the year.

Even after just the first full week of the new year, 2013 has brought us a lot of great sneakers.…

[742
1209741,1225545

2":"type-post
